Looks like what I saw in his college films, Trubisky with more ability. Runs better, throws better. Problem is Nagy didn't want to call games for that type of QB. Unless Nagy gets over him being him I'm not sure how much better a QB type he doesn't want to design plays for will be. About that Oline: I woke up at 2pm and heard it was the starting oline. If that was the starting oline at the start of the video they do look quite a bit better. If that wasn't just a lack of pressure because of preseason that could open up longer plays with a QB more likely to make them.
I brought this down just for you since it's becoming questionable how literate you are.
Look at that. Me liking Fields. Me blaming oline, the perennial problem for the Bears and their QBs since 1985.
If you could really go back you would see me defending Bears rookie QBs except for Grossman (and that was a year after he was rookie), and that was mostly because he looked like an ex-boss of mine.
My stance is and always has been rookie years don't matter. You learn very little from them, and nothing until very late in the season.
Until the Bears actually try having a complete offense my blame will be on the lack of one and not the QB until after the QB is gone.
For Fields specifically, most of the blame is on the lack of WRs and oline just like it was for Cutler most of the time until he had his brains beat in and just like it was for Trubisky.
Williams has WRs. He does not have oline. Of course he lacks accuracy. This is how the Bears ruin QBs.
