Every Fields sack against Green Bay, for the “geniuses” that are saying that he “held onto the ball to long”

Same old excuses and this is 3 years later. It has already been proven over his career that he holds the ball longer than any other QB in the league.

Why can’t you just accept that he’s not very good? It’s been 3 years of this

Jordan love has less talent around him, had played only 1 year and he lit up the Bears and made Fields QB play look amateur

FYI. Fields and Love play out of the same system too.

Cool story bruh! You can’t even stay consistent from one post to the next?

Why should Center be a priority in the draft? All it takes is a non-“inept” QB, right?

One QB, and a roster of 51 JAGS. Why a coaching change? The QB is all that matters with the way you’re yammering on. ****, get the health teacher at the nearest middle school, who also coaches middle school football for a couple hundred extra bucks on top of his annual salary, to draw up the offense.

Based on the overwhelming majority of your posts regarding Fields, the only thing that matters is taking a “gEnErAtIoNaL” QB in the draft.
Red herring.

Time to throw is from the snap, until the defender first contacts Fields, in the process of the sack.

You can see the time stamps on the fucking video, in case you’re confused about how long a second is.

Sack at 0:39, low snap, Fields has to drop his eyes, and bend over to prevent a fumble, by the time he gets upright again, the pass rush is already in top of him. Tries to step up, and Van Ness sheds his man and sacks Fields from behind.

Sack 2:50, sacked in less than 2 seconds

Sack at 4:53, sacked in less than 2 seconds

Sack at 4:45, gets hit in less than 2 seconds, breaks free and tries to step up, interior has already broken down, leaving no pocket for him to step up into, and gets sacked immediately .

Sack at 10:35, gets sacked in less than 2 seconds.

Is less than 2 seconds to throw, considered good pass protection?

All sacks came with Fields trying to “tHrOw FrOm ThE pOcKeT”

It doesn’t matter if it’s Williams, or Tom Fucking Brady. With this offensive line, and the play calls, any QB is going to fail.

Watching EVERY SINGLE FUCKING SACK and I can’t put a single one on Fields for “hOlDiNg On To ThE bAlL tOo LoNg”.

Terrible.

Good post.

I think the big question is do they all get one more draft to improve on what they have started? Can't really fire Getsy if his online is that bad.

Does Poles believe in the overall schemes? Because he is th dope that said he'd build the trenches.

I think i just talked myself into them all coming back.

The OL did not hold up, but Fields has also consistently taken sacks his whole professional career. He needs perfect OLine play to operate. And when you are looking for a franchise QB, you need a QB that can elevate the players around him. Audible into another play, recognize the pressure, know your hot read on 3rd down, get rid of the ball as fast as Begent did, etc.

Afterall the goal is to find a QB for the next decade. One that you will have to pay big on a 2nd contract. And if Fields is unable to elevate the guys around him and needs perfect conditions, it may not be possible to afford him that luxury if the cap space isn't there once he is no longer on his rookie contract.

Exactly. He’s good when everything is perfect but obviously that doesn’t happen every game.

Part of me feels like the team wasnt playing like their jobs were on the line, for all the lack of hustle out of some of them. I mean, come on, I dont think we could tell what they were trying to accomplish today.

Part of me also watched every OLman get their lunch taken all game. The first round rookie gets a pass for being a rookie, but damn it all if it didnt look like everyone else on the line needs to be replaced

Do you think the opportunity to knock the Packers out of the playoffs in their house had any sort of bearing on how they played tonight?

They certainly weren't playing like a team that wanted to do that. At least not the defense anyway.

Are good QBs allowed to avoid the rush sometimes? Even if the OL is playing like obvious dog shit is it OK for a good QB to sometimes make a play? Or are we only supposed to consider the plays that are perfectly blocked?
Gotta run the play that is called. We can run this back, when the all 22 drops. But calling plays where the routes take more than 2 seconds to develop, and an immediate collapse of the interior of the line, is not going to allow the QB to avoid a ton of sacks.

I can only remember one under center, play action rollout called the whole game. And it popped big. If Getsy wants to call long deciding plays downfield, then he needs to move the pocket.

Avoiding 1 pass rusher has never been a problem for Fields of all people. Hell, avoiding 2 pass rushers coming free is not a problem. But when every single lane to escape is clogged because the whole ass line is getting blown off the ball, and there is ZERO pocket to step up into, not many are going to escape the sack.

Look I’m not absolving the OL or Getsy or the WR’s or anyone else on the team.

What I refuse to do is give Fields a free pass like a large portion of this fan base does. You want to criticize…. Criticize ALL of it. Poles too.

Not interior rush when they are at full speed . It’s difficult to avoid and keep eyes downfield. Plus GB had good pocket discipline for stopping Fields to move out of pocket.

Red herring.
No, the post is dead accurate regarding you. If my post was a round of darts, all three darts would be Derek’d in the double bullseye.
