I don't recall if anyone posted this, but Adam Greenberg just wants one official AB:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-b...fficial-bat-help-campaign-171733871--mlb.html

Apparently there's a petition you can sign, linked via this HBT blurb:

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2...see-adam-greenberg-get-an-at-bat-in-the-bigs/

What's 1/180th of the league minimum? It's like $3K or less. That's pocket change so it won't be that much of a big deal to get him his own Ronnie Woo-Woo uniform and let him stand in the box. Who knows, he might even get a hit. But this is up to the Cubs at this point and I don't really mind if they don't do it. It'd be insanely cool if they did give Greenberg one more shot though.

One does wonder what would happen if he took a walk though :D

MLBTR suggests that the Red Sox are interested in Mike Scioscia as manager. Scioscia is under contract until 2018 though so I assume a ton of compensation (relatively speaking) is in order...

Have a hard time seeing Scioscia leave LA, especially for a place that seems such a mess as Boston in terms of the jumbled hierarchy.

You named your article so that it suggests that the Cubs already actually made a proposal for a trade that the teams would make official in the winter. What you meant to write was "Proposal for a Potential Garza-Upton Trade"

And as I said before the deadline when writing about the same topic, I really doubt the D'Backs would make a trade centered around Matt Garza. Especially with the health concerns. I mean seriously they are getting the older, more expensive, and less talented player in the deal. I love Justin Upton, but we all know what it would take to get him.

I think it rhymes with Darlin' Astro.
