yes the overlapping is a pain in the ass.

with the king mission, did you get his dog a new brain yet?

im annoyed with the 2 bum/alcholic missions...they want me to go get all this fixer and shit, i dont have time for that bs :)

some of my other complaints are the armor that is available and the glitchyness of the bugs getting stuck in the mountains....oh and getting myself stuck where i cant move. so annoying.

Yeah I just started the dog mission. I already have a dog brain from a mission I did for the NCR a while back, now it makes sense why I could never drop the brain because it said it was a quest item.

The further I play the game, the more glitches happen. Especially game ending freezes. I haven't had any instances where I got stuck somewhere though. Happened to me a lot in Fallout 3 though.

Also, every time my follower Boone kills a radscorpion, it falls through the ground.

I picked the explorer perk a while back after I leveled up and it shows every location in the game and there are a ton of places I have yet to find. I think I'll take a break from quests for a while and just explore.

I havent used Boone as a side kick yet. I have only used Veronica, who has a sweet melee.

Nah you still have to find the place before you can fast travel there. But the location will be on your map, but instead of it having an icon, it'll just be a box with a line through it until you discover the location.

Highlighting the main parts. There might be some spoilers in here, so just read the bold parts if you don't want anything spoiled.

I take it that you're not liked by the Legion? lol. I was Vilified when I went into the Fort. EVERYBODY came after me with ballistic fists (if you see one, pick it up, its a powerful weapon). I used the gun "This Machine" (you get it from Boyd at McCarran) and had Boone with me, along with ED-E. Also used the ballistic fist. Those guys were pretty easy to kill. Once I killed everyone inside the main part of the Fort, I saved my game in front of Caesars tent. Then I went inside, and you'll see a bunch of guys come running at you. Immediately run back outside the tent. Its easier to run around outside than it is inside the small tent. Use a flamethrower if you have one. Made things soooo much easier. Everybody that comes after you has ballistic fists, so don't get too close to them. Caesar will have a unique fist weapon that shoots out some kind of wave. Once you kill him you can go inside the tent and Benny will be tied up to your right. Also, on the left side of the tent you'll need to find a book laying on a table that says something like "Slave ledger" or "Slave plans" or something. You'll need that for another mission. It won't be one of the middle tables, it'll be the one on the wall you're facing when you walk in the tent.

You can find Boyd in the second floor of the main terminal building at McCarran. The terminal building is the huge building on your right when you walk into McCarran. If you want to side with the NCR, this is the place you should go. There are a shit ton of marked and unmarked quests. You need to seek out, Lieutenant Boyd, Colonel Hsu, and Doctor Hildern and his assistant for these missions.

That catch the virus mini-mission was aggravating. I tried it so many times. Got it finally after about 20 tries.

According to my save file it says my play time is 053.21.30. doesn't seem like alot. Fallout 3 my first playthrough it was around 200 hours.

According to the "wait" screen, the date is 12/13/81. I'm not sure how many days have passed.

And yeah, you should get all of your stuff back.

Word of warning, don't go into Dead Wind Cavern unless you're really really powerful. Most powerful enemy in the game is inside. I made this mistake. Luckily I saved before I went inside, so once I died and reloaded the save I just didn't even go inside.

I think I am at like 22 or so hours. Just turned level 20, not that long ago. I am about half way done with the Wild Card quest I think. I could finish pretty soon if I wanted to, but I probably wont. I will go around and do whatever quests I can. I certainly cant go near Ceasars any more because I fast traveled to Nipton once and Boone started shooting on site.

I like this game quite a bit more than Fallout 3 thus far, I am gonna finish the Wild Card quset then go get all the snow globes and companions.

Also having speech at 100 is really nice.

Did the Legendary one hit kill you?

Surprisingly no. I had killed all the deathclaws in the cave except him and for some reason ED-E and Veronica would run ahead in the cave and try attacking him and they'd immediately be unconscious. For some reason he'd just stand by their bodies, but I knew if I walked around the corner he'd see me and attack. So I just kept chucking Frag Grenades and Plasma Grenades into his den section and got his health down half way. Placed a shit ton of the powder gangers mines, plasma mines and frag mines then tried luring him out. As soon as he saw me, he jumped 30 feet and swiped at me. Didn't kill me, and as I was running away, he triggered one of my mines, did more damage to him, but then took one last swipe at me. I died. I'm just a few EXP away from level 30. I'll go back in when I level up.

Deathclaws are A LOT easier to kill in this game than in Fallout 3. And I don't even have a Dart Gun.

I don't think there's a quest associated with the Cavern. It's just one of the many caves in the game you can explore. This cave just so happens to be the home of the most powerful bastard in the game.
