I know I thanked you last night but just want to say thanks again Hou for setting up the league, lord knows I never would've had the patience to organize this whole thing.

Now that the games are about to begin, I'm ready for some good hearted trash talk. I'll start it off.

Kirk Hinrich owns you... soon to change his name to Diddy owns you. :p
Oh it's on Diddy...I will not tolerate anyone dissing the name of my team in such a manner! :p

Well I did a little statistical analysis and here are the predictions, using ESPN projections:

Kerr Division

Team Stig
Narcs
Drones
Playboys
Hinrich
Diddy
Empire

This is the tougher division by far...Diddy for example would be in 2nd place in the Van Lier Division.

Van Lier Division
Wreckers
Gators
Illmatic
Tigers
Jesus
Bullseye
Eat Souls

Eat Souls seems to be the leader for the 1st pick in the draft next year. If you want to know your strengths and weaknesses, ask...here is what I will say.

Stig has the best time by a fairly sizable margin with no weaknesses.
Narcs are next in line, and have done a decent job all around.
Da Drones are a top5 team through autodraft. I don't know if that is luck for him or shows how inept some of us are in drafting (I believe its 25% the former and 75% the latter).

4 of 6 playoff teams will come from Kerr Division...

It is wise to ask on this site for what you need but I strongly suggest that you also use the trading block on the league site. Some people that are in the league are not visitors to this site. So I would strongly suggest that you fill out your trading block.

And I'm planning on being 1 of those 4. Espn predictions are about as accurate as a weatherman. Though maybe your analysis is alil more in depth, either way I'm getting that playoff spot, even if I have to go to Philly & whoop Iggy into shape so he becomes the fantasy player I've always dreamed he could be.

Are all players not on a team going to be on waivers for the whole season or will they become FA's for anyone to get immediately?

They are available through the waiver system. So make sure to keep an eye on some of those players during the season and notice the trends.

We could do it my way, which is cheap, lazy and inaccurate, or we can all put in $10 and pay PO3 to make a Bullspodcasters.com yearbook...

You are very right, those projections are inaccurate and not dependable. But they get the blood boiling, so I figured I would do it...that PO3 analysis is open, all he can say is yes or no....hahaha!

I am ready, and you seem ready, this should be fun. I just ordered League Pass last night and so heeeeerrrrre we go!!!

Okay, I have not heard from Cool007 or Lewinthal, hope things are okay....

The games start on October 29th. Everyone make sure you adjust your lineups as needed.

I'm a little confused. How many players can we play per night? How many per week is there any cap? Also what is a player acquisition max?

I don't know what you mean by player acquisition max.

You can play everybody that plays that particular night.

There is no cap on how many players can play.

sorry I meant Matchup Acquisitions: 0 / 6?

Thats cool, last year when I played they had a max on players you could play during the week. So every week you get 40 total players.

each team is allowed an average of one (1) acquisition per day in which there is an NBA game played. So for a typical 7-day NBA week, each team is allowed seven (7) acquisitions. Once the acquisitions limit is reach, a team will no longer be able to add players until the following matchup begins. Note that under this rule, the system will NOT enforce any maximum number of games played in the H2H game.

Acquisition limits notes:

* There is no limit on acquisitions before the season begins. The system only starts enforcing the rule on the first day of the season.
* Dropping players or receiving player(s) via a trade does not count against a team's acquisition limit.
* There is no limit to the number of acquisitions allowed per day (as long as it doesn't exceed the maximum). Teams can add seven (7) players to their team on a single day, or balance them out throughout the matchup (ie, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Friday, 3 on Saturday).
* Since player additions lock at the first game of the day, the weekly transistion for acquisition limits takes place with the first game played on Sunday's.
* Your team's current acquisition limit balance is displayed on three pages within the game - your "My Team" and "H2H Box Score" page, as well as the "Players" pages (free agency/waivers). The league "Standings" page will continue to display the total number of acquisitions made for the entire season.

New poll!

Should the league have an IR?

If we do should I monitor to see if players are really injured or just run it like the pros run it? Poll will be up tonight, everybody has until Sunday to place their votes.

Thanks for the clarification, hopefully people don't churn the system.

To all owners,

You can actually set your roster daily. Once you submit it, it is saved until you change it again. I have set my rosters according to games and who can play through November 1. Just in case you don't have time to do it later in the week. You can make your changes now for future days.

So does that mean every team gets two new spots for players? In my example I have Yao and T-Mac who both will not play for months. So with IR I would get two more spots for players who are healthy?

yes, but as soon as they are healthy you have to put them on the active roster.
