Clearly the poll options are catered to what's available in California lol.. It's okay TBD.
I'm not much on fast food anymore. I mostly seem to have Portillo's lately as a burger option.
I stopped going to McDonalds, BK, Wendy's a decade ago.. I think places like Steak n Shake became entirely too corporate and over expanded that the product went way down hill.
Culvers was decent the last time i went there, but it's also been years now.

I can only state the one's I know. White Castle is not in California. And if anyone paid any attention the title say's "FAST FOOD" not who makes your favorite burger. I never realized Fudruckers and Shake shack had drive throughs and gave you your order in under 5 minutes. Anything longer is not fast food. It is a burger joint.
But I quickly realized very few understood or cared about the actual poll question so might as well turn it into your favorite burger joint.

Glad it's not on the list, nor has been mentioned. My family loves Meatheads. I went their twice, once underwhelmed, the other time a girl asked if I was ever there before (was my first time, so I said no) and she just read off every single fucking thing on the menu with full explanations of each item. By the time she was down the middle of the first page(an honest 2 minutes later, I was trying to be nice), I just looked at my wife and we walked out. The girl looked confused. It's a burger joint, your 22 year old can't find a real job after college ass should know that even complicated burgers are... NOT THAT COMPLICATED.
Smash Burgers are awesome, if you have a good one. If you think Steak and Shake should be on the list, Smash Burger is the same style of burger, but everything is better. For those days you just want a smaller piece of meat.

I can't find it on the web anywhere. But I seem to recall some series of protests at White Castles in Socal in the 90s. Something about it being "White" . Then instead of trying to redo the company name or image, they just got out of California all together. And, no, I am not joking.

Meh, once every six months I get a 10 pack with cheese and extra pickles. Not too bad in extreme moderation. They actually had a sloppy joe that was pretty good
