Oh My God. What a great sub-forum. This place has really improved the past three months. I have a special affinity for burgers as do most of you. Love em. Love em to death.

The hamburger is the perfect food. Bread, veggies, meat, sauce...the toppings go on and on. Love me some burgers.

My favorite has to have caramelized onions, bacon, extra cheese and tomato. Love them all kinds of ways. I'm excited to read through this forum and make some new food.

Cheers!

Not sliced or loafed whatsoever. I have family hamburger recipes that consist of other ingredients than meat as well that date back into the 1800s. A hamburger isn't a one-way deal. You can make them many different ways.

A meatloaf is an actual loaf of meat, and that can also be made many different ways, including 100% beef if that is what you like.

We agree on a lot but disagree on the premise of stuff (meatloaf) v topped (burger)

No biggie

Doing some stuffed burgers at the Restaurant. Two are going on the menu and I am trying to think up a 3rd one. I have plenty of ideas but I just want something really creative.

The first one I am doing is a basic Jalapeno, Ham, and Mozzarella stuffed burger. Still trying out some buns and putting two slices of bacon it and a Garlic Aioli.

The second one is a Jalapeno, Gouda, Duck confit, and a cranberry and red wine reduction. Thinking on a Pretzel bun and doing a mango and sweet peppers slaw. Its going to be about an 18 dollar burger, but it was effing good.

Any suggestions on third and dont get crazy with ingredients. This isnt a large restaurant that can afford everything.

can't go wrong with hashed up corned beef/gruyere/cornichons stuffing and some nice russian dressing and sauerkraut on the bun

or do a house made pimento cheese and pork cracklin' stuffed one with a tangy bbq sauce on the bun (and the bun needs to be slathered with mayo before grilling for maximum HNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG)

I even did one that was "frito pie" stuffed. crushed up fritos with some cincinnati chili and shredded sharp cheddar cheese - plenty of diced raw onion and some franks red hot and yellow mustard for condiments.

Their fries are damn good, too. But wouldn't you still characterize them as fast food?

I've got one to add that I cooked up earlier in the week.

1/3lb grass finished ground chuck bison meat cooked medium
Spring salad mix
Avocado
Smoked provolone
Fresh tomato
Smoky habanero hot sauce
Honey oat burger bun

I got to enjoy two of the three from that package.

Yes I would actually, so maybe I should have said the bigger chains of fast food. Also, too bad they don't make a poutine with those fries, that would be one heart stopping meal!!
