This won't help you on your trip, but have you tried Jimano's in Denver? It appears to be the only Chicago style thin crust pizza joint in town. I haven't tried it yet, but I am fiending for Chicago tavern thin pizza. Or if there are any other options around Denver?
Yeah been there although it's been too long. Paxti's was good, but is now out of business. Grabowski's in 5 points is great when they are "on" but can miss a bunch too.

I heard Grabowski's was good but it appears they are gone too...

I'm from 1.5 hours from Chicago, but man I got spoiled by 3 Italian brothers that would rotate restaurants (probably to avoid taxes in some way) every 7 years. But they had THE best Chicago tavern style . One was called the hurricane 24". It was a fond part of my youth. Every sleepover we would order one or two.

I haven't had it myself but ppl at my office like JP Graziano for sandwiches if you find yourself in the West Loop. I only bring kale and carrot salads to work and don't buy lunch

I only mentioned because a coworker is arrogant with arugula.
I have found in salad forums that the only people more hostile, chauvinistic, and ... 'arrugulant' than arugula lovers are people who like to bring up rocket lettuce, until told those are the same thing.

I will stick with my kale and carrots, thanks.

Three standouts from my trip last October.

Mr Beef on Orleans has tits beef. Prefer that to Johnnies.

Ended up at Mastro's Steakhouse when my res at Rose Mary was canceled because they blew a fuse. Ended up being a great experience. Thee wagyu tomahawk was the best steak I've ever had.

I know you can get sandwiches anywhere but Rico Bene's is awesome. Breaded steak sandwich is a must and the chicken vesuio sandwich slaps. Their giardiniera is great.

Ty, again fellas. I will definitely post pics once back. In regards to the salad discussion, every now and then I get a craving for frisee salad, over easy egg with bacon and a lemon vinaigrette. Got-damn.

@KittiesKorner I set my calendar for 21 days out for Bav's and I tried to book online at around 10am and it was booked out, save for a couple tables in the parlor past 10pm. Unbelievable. Ah, well, maybe next time.
