If the Bulls aren't interested in Wall since his skillset is very similar to Rose, perhaps Toronto would be more willing to listen to trade offers for Bosh if the Bulls package in their number 1 pick.

Unless of course you feel this team should be blown up, then you might as well keep the pick and prepare for another 2 years of shit.

Yet he had the most embarassing playoff series lost ever in the history in the NBA

So did George Karl...he is a damn good coach too. I don't know why you would say he is terrible. He had a franchise player who was that in skill but not mentally. He took a team to the finals, something no other coaching candidates on the list did. He is also a former point guard, on a championship team. I am sure he would have done more to help Rose's development. And finally...defense. Avery would have stressed defense from day one.

I don't think anyone can really put too much blame on Vinny. This comes down to managements decision to get rid of Ben Gordon and not provide adequate replacement and depth to make up for it.

Remember Vinny did do a good job towards the end last season. He made some rookie mistakes. I do believe the offensive system could be better, but I doubt that it will change much if we change coaches mid season

I would've let Ben go, but the depth part I agree on, resigning Gray was a big mistake, this guy is useless, they should've taken a look at Rashard McCants, I think he might have been a better option than Pargo, Kirk should've been traded.

Firing the coach is just shifting the blame. You don't lose games by 30+ because the coach is bad, if you're losing by that much it's on the players.

To be clear, I'm not saying Vinny is a good coach, I'm saying he's being made a scapegoat here.

I partially agree. The players need to play, that's true. But the coach needs to put the players in the best position to succeed, that means game prepartion, solid offensive & defensive schemes, & defined roles & rotations. Vinny has failed in all these areas, dating back to last season. He's not a scapegoat. He's a failure & he's lost the team. When that happens, it's time for a new voice in the locker room.

I agree fire Vinny! Great points Diddy offensive and defensive schemes and defined roles is where Vinny fails the most. He might have shown improvement in small things like saving his timeouts but he hasn't given us anything good in those other areas that are much more important for an NBA coach.

A coach in the NBA can only suck at schemes and defining roles if they are a great motivator. You can overcome your defficiencies as a coach if you can get your team fired up. Vinny is horrible in this department as well. It is time to move on.

Please Avery Johnson or Lawrence Frank, Bickerstaff is a clown and has always sucked.

I have two questions for anyone in favor of firing VDN.

Do you think we will be noticeably better?

Do you think we will hire someone from outside the org?

I would have to say no to both. And thats why I don't see a point unless the players really quit on him.

You must of not watch the Hawks game yesterday as they were just laying down for them. They were letting throw alley-oop after alley-oop. How long before somebody knocks them on their ass before they care? It's not Skiles esque where they purposely trying to get him fired, but it's pretty close. Here's the thing though with hiring Bickerstaff or even Ocepika that's different from Boylan is that they coach for many years and could really care less about trying to win the job. This is all Vinny and I for one like the Bickerstaff hire as he's really passionate guy something that this team needs. The players have never accepted Vinny as legit NBA so why should they start now you look at his horrible schemes and not making adjustments

No & No. But the point of firing Vinny is he's failed at being a coach. It's been evident since day 1 that he doesn't have any clue how to coach a team. You can chalk some of that up to no previous experience, but he's had a whole season now & he still has no offensive or defensive scheme & his rotations downright kill momentum the majority of the time. And if you can't motivate your players to come out with a sense of urgency after 9 losses in 10 games, alot of them being blowouts, then they just aren't listening to you.

Vinny will be gone after the Celtics game. They are not going to fire him during the road trip. I'd say Bickerstaff will be coaching come Tuesday.

Bickerstaff is not this amazing coach you make him out to be. He makes the playoffs about 1/3 of the time and the reason he couldn't get a hc job was because he isn't good. Bickerstaff is part of this current team and hasn't made a impact. Its hard to believe that if given a promotion he would be a difference maker.

I saw the hawks game but teams get blown out and when they do, they look like that. Most teams in the league have nights like that, the ones that don't are contenders. If it becomes consistent, I will change my stance but I think this team is more worn down than quitting.

No one complained about his offense last year and his defense looked good to begin the year. But when you downgrade the roster and suffer a lot if injuries your going to look worn down and bad. The main problem is with JR not VDN. Phil Jackson didn't win titles because he was the best coach in the league but more so because he had the best player and great team. Phil Jackson couldn't coach this team to the playoffs so why expect VDN to. We have talent problems, not coaching problems. Furthermore, if we didn't want to give him time to develop why did we get a rookie coach? I just don't see what good will come from scape goating him. I never loved VDN as a coach but he is really one of our last probelms, he is just easiest to scapegoat.

If you fire VDN though you look to be doing something. If the team starts to win a few games when the schedule gets easier then you can puff out your chest and tell everyone how smart you are to fire VDN.

I guess, I am more for doing things to actually make us better than just creating the illusion that we are better. I just don't think this team makes the playoffs either way so I just don't see the point. It just seems like we are trying to scapegoat our mistakes on VDN.

I know I complained about it all last year. Fred too. And it's not scapegoating when you can't perform your job. And Vinny can't. The difference between Vinny coaching last year & this year is he had a very good scorer on his team who opened up the floor for players like Rose & Salmons, who are better slashing to the hoop. That's it. Vinny didn't make any adjustments other than focusing on defense which I don't even contribute to him because that Oceipka's department & the improvement of Noah & return of Deng is what really made the defense better. Vinny had little to do with that.

I don't know what team you are watching out there but Vinny is a problem. And the hiring of Vinny was an idiotic move in the first place thanks to our cheapstake owner handcuffing the former GM.

Also, leave Phil out of this. VDN couldn't even match the coaching ability of the lint in Phil's belly button.
