Yeah uh well he's trying to get to the airport in time to catch his flight so he doesn't have an hour to drink after the game while waiting for the crowd to filter out.

Soldier Field is a dump. It's a nice memorial to the fallen but absolutely shitty football stadium.

But I get it you're one of those delusional fans the rest of the NFL laughs at because you're still living in 1985.
I already gave him advice on his game day experience earlier in the thread. Again, you’re completely full of shit. The stadium is hardly a “dump.” It’s obvious you can’t afford to go to the games.

A new stadium will be nice. I’m not emotionally tied to Soldier Field or the ‘85 Bears. When they build it, that will be great.

Synopsis…

You’re full of shit as usual.

If you insist on driving... I have had exactly two good experiences driving to the game from outside of Chicago, and even then good might be a stretch. I parked near the Argyle stop of the red line near some really good Vietnamese food. Parking was cheap and I got to eat some fantastic pho after the game. You'll be away from the game traffic if my experience was accurate. No idea how easy it would be to get to your flight from there.

Everyone who is recommending to take the blue line to OHare is absolutely right. That is a predictable timeline and you can feel comfortable knowing how much time you need to get from A to B.

Why wouldn’t you fly out of Meigs Field?

It’s literally right there.

Okay okay great thread. What’s the quickest way to get to Midway after the game? Brother and I are flying in on Sunday morning and leaving Sun night.
Midway is pretty close, take the Orange line from midway to Roosevelt.
or uber/taxi for around 30$ for less walking.

Just use uber/lyft, you got money and time. Traffic will slow down towards the end of day.

Incase you missed my edit..

Not long at all. bout 15 minutes on a good Sunday morning. Straight shot northeast on us55...gonna be surreal for you to experience that ride from midway towards S.F. on gameday. Keep your eyes up on the bend.

Yeah man, our flight lands at 1040am. I'm a little worried about making it to the game in time. No luggage.

Red Line at Roosevelt to Orange Line - even easier than O'Hare IMO but I wouldn't say you'd be safe with a 6PM flight.

You just love trying to defend incompetence no matter what. You'll defend every stupid thing this organization has done over the last 40 years just so you can say you're a true fan.

I can be a fan too but still recognize that the Chicago Bears have been one of the worst teams in the NFL since 1985.

Yeah man you got little time.....
head str8 out the doors, smoke your cig if needed and take the 1st Uber/taxi you see. Better wiz before you land too. Once you get to S.F, It doesn't mean you'll be in your seat on time, them fat asses will slow you down.

Thanks! Departs at 745pm should be good, I think.
Yeah you're good with the 745 depart. Get back to midday by 710.

That’s an interesting and an incredibly bad take.

That’s quite a leap too. I go to almost every home game each year. Before the remodel, the stadium was a joke. To suggested it’s a dump now is just plain misinformation.

You need a roadmap to a clue.

Imagine too a grown man suggesting $50.00 is “expensive” to park for a NFL game in one of the largest markets in the country…

That’s pretty funny.

To be completely honest Soldier Field is one of the worst in game experiences in the NFL. The stadium is old and delapadated and combine that with the struggle to get into and out of the stadium I don't bother to go to Bears home games at all. The experience is an absolute nightmare.
So you regularly go to all the other stadiums to compare them? "The experience is an absolute nightmare"? Seriously? You sound like an entitled whiner.
There's a reason the Bears are trying to build a new stadium completely outside the city of Chicago. It's hard to build a stadium within a big already established city with all of two entrances and exits to get into and get out of to get to the stadium grounds.

It's one of the least accessible stadiums in the NFL.
This is fair.

I've been to probably 15 or so different stadiums be it college NFL or MLB in my lifetime maybe more but I'd have to sit and think about it and yes Soldier Field is one of the worst experiences ever.

Especially if you need to get into and out of the stadium in a timely manner.

There is absolutely no place worse to get into and out of than the Rosemont arena. Took the kids to see Disney on Ice there 40 years ago and sat in the parking lot for 3 hours trying to get out.

And if you want to park near AT&T park in SF it is going to cost you 60 bucks. Just did it.

The Bears is not the worst NFL stadium experience I have had. However, they are lagging far behind in ways that can be overcome with a new stadium. It really bites that they blew it when they had tried to build onto the stadium twenty years ago.

It is my hope that they keep the columns as the "aesthetic." And they need to fit 75,000 Chicago-sized asses in there, and have accessible transportation to-and-fro parking if they keep it inside the city. Every other concern after that kind of falls to the side.
