competitive does not equal dominance. BIG difference. Especially when you consider the fact that the free-spending White Sox has been dominated by a small-market team in the Twins for half that time.

I agree with alot of what you wrote, however even if 1 team is attempting to get better more than the other, it still doesn't change the fact that both teams really have accomplished jack in the long run when compared to the other big markets out there.

But either way, I just don't really enjoy baseball. No amount of debating will ever change my mind about that. I find it on a whole boring & uneventful for 85% of the time you are watching it. But I digress, I'm here to talk basketball, not join the pointless Cub fans vs. Sox fans knuckle-dragging contest.

That's why I said, I wasn't trying to start anything.

The White Sox try to be the Yankees of the mid-west, but spend money on washed up, past their prime players. The Cubs just spend money on team cancers and have no interest in winning, period. At the very least, Kenny Williams tries to win every year. He's failing miserably now, but he tries. The Cubs through stupid amounts of money at Alfonso Soriano.

1. The highlighted sentence makes no sense. Name a team in baseball that spends a bunch of damn money but don't want to win? The Cubs were victimized by an idiot GM who didn't have a clue.

2. I don't give a damn what Kenny Williams "tries" to do, he hasn't gotten the job done and the honeymoon is over. The Sox have the worst farm system in baseball because of Kenny Williams.

3. The Twins have a superior farm system that helped them win consistently, and then their talent leaves when their contract runs...wait a minute, I said they were a small market team didn't I? Well that is what successful small market teams do.

Sox fans can't look down their noses at Cubs fans and same goes for Cubs fans. That was my point.

However, the Bulls WERE dominant and one of sports great dynasties in the 1990's. Again, something to be proud of.

Yes I am a Sox fan...only been to one Cubs game in my life...and that was because my female friend loved Mike Piazza.

I will try to post more over there...just hard to stay with the game all summer, especially when the teams (Cubs and Sox) play badly.

Williams totally destroyed his farm system over the past 5 years...and he has what to show for it? One playoff appearance? Ultimate fail.

I hear you, but it isn't just one Cubs fan, it's a lot of them. I live around them so I can say this with confidence. When it came the the two teams, he was civil.

Exactly. I like KW, but he's gambling with the team in a way that isn't beneficial. I don't know about him at this point, might be time to make a change.
