This front office has Cubs fans so whooped it's pathetic.

They have you guys thinking like small town dweebs with no vision beyond what Epstein and Ricketts spoon feeds you. Spending money is NOT bad when you're a major market club in the 3rd largest media market in the country! The last time the Cubs came close to a world series, they spent a considerable amount of money to get there. You let some idiot fan piss it away, but nevermind that. The Cubs have money to spend and holes virtually everywhere on the field. That is all that you as Cubs fans should be concerned about, not building hotels and a new McDonald's in Wriggley, and certainly not how many prospects down in the system who are YEARS away in some cases from contributing to ANY major league club, let alone the Cubs. This isn't St. Louis or Baltimore or Tampa Bay, so stop trying to act like them. It's embarrassing and disgraceful!

So then what are you as a Sox fan because they never spend money in FA and happen to be a club in the 3rd largest media market in the country? I hold no ill will toward the sox but it's beyond hypocrisy for sox fans to insult cubs fans with regard to spending.

Well, maybe. But the White Sox have no where near the income that the Cubs have. The Sox are the adoptive cousin that no one likes.

Problem is Armour Square. Wrigley has night life, bars, restaurants, places to go to, lakeview, etc. Sox park has........Ricobene's a mile away. And the taco stand which has given me the runs an uncomfortable time or two. (worth it.)

Rip down some projects and make the neighborhood desirable to go to. Bridgeport is hit or miss, nothing excellent. The white sox can stop being the little bro, problem is Reinsdorf is happy doing nothing. He's got a few marketable young cats and makes money.

Just thought I'd share, kiddies.

Your favorites, KB and MS are now contributing writers at Glove-N-Bat, a subsection under Mud-N-Cleats, where I post for NFL because the bears board here is full of people twice as dumb as some fans we got here, and a single thread on these bears board can go from 0-500 posts in a matter of hours while the cubs is more something I can read and digest.

Now don't get me wrong, I love a good :smug2: "debate" with DJ, but guys like Omelet and Chris Sokja provide a more.......'interesting'--we'll go with that--group of coke'd up kindergartners I just cant keep up with.

Brilliant article.

Name 1 person on this board that has said this. Go.

I suppose not directly but there are threads filled with the prospects at their position, in the lineup/rotation. There is a lot of theo sheep on this site. I just want to see fans be real...I know you know what Im getting at playboy.

I don't think a White Sox board mod would know what "real" is.

The projects in Bronzeville are gone and you forgot about Cork and Kerry. That said, Bridgeport's kind of a boring/"we don't like your kind around here boy" kind of neighborhood even though that place has become more diverse in the last ten years. The area east of Chinatown on Cermak is OK, especially Reggie's (Got bus rides to Phish and Iron Maiden shows from there in summer 2012 and saw Macabre there around New Year's time later that year for their Holiday of Horror show) and there's also a fried shrimp/chicken wing joint on State Street, but you've got to go one stop North of Sox-35th on the Red Line.

As brett stated the projects in Bronzeville are gone and you forgot about Cork and Kerry. That said, Bridgeport's kind of a boring/"we don't like your kind around here boy" kind of neighborhood and there's not many bars other than a strip on Halsted from 31st to 35th which also has a couple of Chinese restaurants) even though that place has become more diverse in the last ten years. Right, we don't rip our team to shreds, hate every move made, and think the world is ending with our team. Sorry buddy that we don't drink kool aid on the south side like some of the cubs fans. Here is the simple black and white facts:

1) ALOT of cubs fans stroke theo and will never state that theo does anything wong.

2) Sox fans hate everything we do.

I know one thing that is "real".....Im not waiting for that illusive World Series Title anymore.

Cheers!
