Probably just going to be getting wasted at my buddies' house. Wife and kids are out of town for a while so I get to party like a bachelor for once.

Might take my smoker over there and BBQ some grub.

Who doesn't celebrate the 4th?

Actually, I shouldn't even be surprised.. none of the mexicans that live by me celebrate anything besides parties when little girls turn 15 so they can creep on them.

This country is going to hell.

Saturday Night I'm going to a baseball game; Quad City River Bandits(St Louis Class A affiliate)

July 4th morning I have a 5k race at 7:30AM. After that no real plans. Maybe go to the parade downtown. Eat some BBQ. Nothing too exciting. I have to work Tuesday so it will be a low key day.

Me, and other people who aren't ethnically "American"

I dont ever say anything bad about the country, I live here and am happy to, I just dont celebrate the 4th

You do realize that only 7% of people who live in the United States claim their ethnicity as "American". The United States is a melting pot of all different types of ethnicity. By living here, you enjoy the freedoms stated in the Declaration of Independence. The 4th of July celebrates America's independence. The freedom you have to post on this site is something you could celebrate on that day. Anyone who is a citizen of the United States should celebrate the 4th of July because most don't know how lucky they are when other countries are nowhere near as free as ours is.

Our freedoms are listed in the Constitution...


Other countries can post on message boards too, not just America

Like I said, I dont bad mouth the country because I live here and am happy to live here...

Not celebrating the 4th becuase your "family roots" are in Europe makes zero sense.

Yea ofcourse, but my family has only been in America for 1 generation...its not like we have lived here since the 1800's...

If you dont like that Im not going to celebrate it great, move on...

I gotta stand up for tbo on this one. It's cool to be an American and all. I love our country.

Every day we should be patriotic, we don't need a special day.

And I don't want to be seen as the country that gets drunk and blows stuff up. Not a great image.
