If you have to choose between Amos and Collins, I think you have to go Amos since he will likely be cheaper. I will take a cheaper contract and continuity rather than risk paying a player more who has declined since his rookie year.

Collins is just a bigger name, not a significant upgrade.

I want Amos back even over Callahan

With that said how many of us really paid attention to the giants the passed 5 years? Is it Collins that has regressed or the giants? They don’t have that formidable pass rush they used to have could that be why Collins “regressed”

Then again I guess we have to ask is their gm a Special person to let a 25 year old star go or is he just not a star like you say.

Eric Weddle released. Any interest in the old man?

Give me honey badger over both. He can play safety and slot at times. We could draft an in box S and play HB at corner on most downs and rotate to Safety on obvious passing downs with McMannis in slot.

Eric Weddle would be a good short term signing if Amos leaves.

-Durable
-Doesn’t effect comp picks
-Short commitment

Agreed. The only question is does he pull a Jared Allen on us, and is he willing to play on a one year deal to chase a ring. His leadership would be awesome, and you still have Bush in the wings if he gets nicked up.

Whats wrong with Tre Boston ??

Honestly, I am not sure if FS is not his more pure position. His coverages skills are impressive, from what I have seen/read his tackling leaves something to be desired.

Even though EJ is a FS I want another FS skill set guy. The NFL now almost requires that on the back end of the D.

Does Weddle have anything left in the tank? I haven't watched him lately so I don't know.

Given that our new DC may prefer that 3 Safety look....
