I'm not confused. They werre both roommates at USC and Clay has always been rumored to be on the stuff, since he came in the NFL. Cushing has just been caught several times and Clay has not. Either way, don't like the guy.

Za'Darius Smith's deal in Green Bay expected to come in at around $15M-$17M annually.

But now we had to move money of players that will be here the next few years like Goldman and Mack which is gonna hurt in the future cap when we could of cut Trevathon and have an absolute stud play there when L.Floyd is in the game and when Floyd goes out Barr can go to OLB and one of Kwiat or Iggy can get some much needed ILB play. Don't get me wrong cause i love a healthy Trevathon, but i was just trying to come up with a way to not have to mess with our own players contracts which will hurt us down the road and by the way....A.Barr is a better player then Trevathon. It might not be by too much at ILB but he's a beast and like i said can also play OLB. Just thinking out the box a little is all.

Creating space now can be carried over if not used, so cap wise it makes no difference in the future, it just allows that money to be used now vs later. Difference is the player gets all that money at once, so Mack gets a check today for $13M, vs game checks throughout the year. It would only matter if he was cut with what would have been unguaranteed money.
