The Draft will give us room to go after DL unless the Bears are interested in a QB.

I'm thinking we've spent somewhere around $18/$19 million per so far so we have money to spend. That's after Alshon of course.

Matt Forte reportedly to sign with New York Jets

Matt-Forte.jpg

[h=2]After 9 seasons with the Chicago Bears, Matt Forte is set to move on to a new team[/h]Relax Chicago Bears fans, Matt Forte isn't signing with the Green Bay Packers. Instead, he's going to be re-united with wide receiver Brandon Marshall in New York.https://twitter.com/NFLonFOX/status/707663736455102468He will join* Marshall on a team that was one game away from the playoffs last season and is expected to contend again. The only negative is that there is also a question about who their starting quarterback will be, as Ryan Fitzpatrick has not been resigned yet.Rumors were flying that Forte was in talks with the Packers, which was not a favorite with Bears fans. *But in the end, he decided on the Jets which made one former teammate happy:https://twitter.com/Ky1eLong/status/707659176227438592Forte gives them a dual threat back, and a great blocker out of the backfield. With the loss of Chris Ivory to the Jacksonville Jaguars, it fills an immediate need.

Shortly after bolstering their defense with Danny Trevathan, the Bears on Wednesday addressed their offense by agreeing to terms with tackle Bobby Massie on a three-year deal.

I'd add Jefferson on the list at S too. He's an ascending young player IMO. Also Burton would be a good signing as well.
