Struggling to understand why the bears wouldn’t be able to trade for Garrett and still not upgrade other positions. They have a ton of cap and multiple 2nd round picks.

I wouldn’t hate young but they just released Walker, and they both had very similar production over the last 2 seasons so the deal would have to make sense. Walker was cheap and young made 13 mil last year.

Mack is my preferred choice.

Garrett will eat a large part of that cap and cost a shit ton of picks. Just a hard hard pass on that.

Young and Walker very different pressure numbers. I am more mentioning Young because Allen will know what they’re getting with him. I’m guessing this staff will rely on their previous knowledge/connections around the league this past year.

Bates should be gone, hopefully he will be he has arthritis in his shoulder he is cooked. If I had one fear right now it’s that Poles still hasn’t learned why he can’t find oline talent.

No reason the bears couldn’t trade for Garrett (say 2 1sts for simplicity), extend him, sign dalman and smith (or zeitler/scherff) and probably another WR and/or DL. With the cap going up and the way cap hits are configured, you could fenagle it.

Then go OL/DL with the 2nd round picks and RB in the 3rd.

Just one of many examples. My point is, trading for Garrett doesn’t hinder upgrading other positions.

Brisker said he didnt have symptoms until the day after the game which is not unheard of.
I get it but an MD testing him at the time may have seen more than a concussed person felt.

How does trading two 1sts not hinder upgrading? And he probably wants Bosa money after the trade. I mean yeah they could do it but there’s no way you can say losing two firsts doesn’t hinder you.

Depends how you look at it. Edge is one of the bears biggest needs. Garrett is arguably the best edge and defensive player in the entire NFL. You’re not getting a Myles Garrett player (or even close) at #10.

Need filled and then some. Sure, you’re losing next years first too, which would hopefully/ideally be a late 1st. To that I ask…who fucking cares? You just acquired Myles fucking Garrett. If I were to guess, Garrett is going to be playing at a prime level for another 4-6 seasons. The guy is a freak and is consistent year over year. Well worth the price, if you ask me.

Garrett is to old for this team and they have to many needs. If you gotta do a trade get Parsons who at least fits the timeline here. I’d prefer doing neither can we just sign free agents and draft well? Trades rarely work out.

Because Garrett may be a better upgrade than whoever you get for those 2 firsts.

It's not a fear it's a reality.

His FA OLINE has been beyond terrible.

Holy shit remy doesn’t believe poles can draft a good de in a loaded draft.

Myles Garrett is far different from a good DE…he’s arguably the best defensive player in the NFL. He’s not getting that at 10
