This is why I think they are keying Jack Bech. He is a very good blocker with steady hands. Snagging him in the 3rd would be mint.
There are 31 other teams that will also be keying Bech.

He is more impactful than even I thought. You still want to franchise Teven?

Remember when the Bears werent going to be able to get impact players because a lot of teams had money to spend. Then they dropped 130m+ on 3 players.

P.S. Cameron Bynum got 15m a year as a S. Impact signing.
I suppose you think Aaron Banks and Dave Moore are special players too? Kind of a moron to even show back up not understanding basic supply and demand.

I didn’t say they won’t be able to get players. I said people will be overspending on average players cause there’s a disproportionate amount of impact players and available cash to spend… and that’s what happened.

You’re already wrong many times over. Several sources have echoed that the free agent class was weak. The fact that both the names you mentioned, the teams had the money to pay them but let them walk speaks volumes. Teams with cash don't let impact players go away for nothing.

Also, I didn't say I want to tag Tev. I said I could see where we might to bridge the gap... and I said if he's cheaper than that, even better. I have no inside knowledge on what he's asking or what the league is willing to spend. Realistically, people in here will be bitching about one of the guys we spent on anyway and be asking for him to be cut in a year or two.

Somebody still doesn't understand that Deandre Hopkins is finished. He went to KC last year and everyone oooohed and aaahhhed, and he did exactly nothing.
Yeah, he is done. He can produce a breakout game here and there but the rest of the time you will get 20 yards a game from him.

Joey Bosa, Bills agree to one-year deal
buf.png
Five-time Pro Bowl defensive end Joey Bosareached agreement Tuesday night on a one-year, $12.6 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Chargers released the 29-year-old Bosa on March 5, cutting ties with their longest-tenured player and one of the best in franchise history.

They selected him with the No. 3 pick in the 2016 draft, and he made an immediate impact. He was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year that season, posting 10.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss. He made four Pro Bowls in his first six seasons and set an NFL record by recording 19 sacks in his first 20 games.

Damn, that's a lot of receivers. I'm surprised there hasn't been more action there yet.

8 million cap hit in 2025 but looks like an out option in 2026.
Will be easy to get out after 2026, should only be 1/3 of the signing bonus left in dead cap.

There's no way they can guarantee $32m and have only $8m on the cap in 25 and have a reasonable out after 25.

Also there aren't any 'out options' in NFL contracts. Just however much dead cap is left that a team is willing to eat.

If Bears are looking for a budget jumbo slot then Josh Reynolds fits the bill and knows Ben Johnson’s system already. Bad drops in the playoffs and he literally got shot in the head in DEN last year but he probably gets close to vet minimum and was productive in DET as recently as ‘23.
