I think he was just in a position where he had to go with the key players first, then after all that, the line. Could have been line first then key players, but Caleb wouldn’t have been picked. It sucked but just the way it played out. But it was expected for Poles to hit the line this year because he had the rest of the pieces. Now we need better backups on the o line and a big time player on the d line. Via draft or trade.

Didn’t he say at training camp last year that the oline room was the best he has ever been around? He got humbled, which is a good thing he learned and evolved.

I have heard the same stuff from others. He’s not an AllPro center by any means. An improvement yes. But I still would draft a center this year if a good one was available in a later round. Just to develop one
