There are 31 other teams that will also be keying Bech.
Yes. That is how the draft works. Are you saying the bears should take him with one of their seconds? I think that’s a bit too steep. I can be convinced.

I like Bech and love his story but i'm not using a 2nd on him especially a high 2nd. I'll do the 3rd for sure though.

OTC has us with $22.5 left, Jarrett contract not included

Odeyingbo contract interesting in that the Bears can cut him after either year 1 or year 2 and his first would still only be $16-$17M per season of play if I’m reading it right. Team has pretty good protection for injury or his play falling off a cliff built in.

No, there's like 22 million in dead cap if he's cut after year 1. He's guaranteed 29.5 million. He gets 7.5 of it out in year one and 17.5 in year 2. That leaves the 4.5 in the final year.

If they cut him after year one his cap hit would still be at least $23.5m.

Both of the announced deals are essentially 2-year with a cheap out after the second year.

RB Gainwell agrees to one-year deal with the Steelers, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

PITTSBURGH -- The Steelers are reinforcing their run game with help from across the Keystone state. Former Eagles running back Kenneth Gainwell agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Steelers, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

In Gainwell, a 2021 fifth-round pick, the Steelers landed a running mate for Jaylen Warren, whom the team placed a second-round tender on earlier this week. The Steelers needed to replace backfield production lost when 2021 first-round pick Najee Harris hit free agency and opted to sign a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.

With Harris' departure, Warren, who averaged 4.8 yards per carry in his first three seasons in Pittsburgh, figures to be the Steelers' lead back. Gainwell's addition gives the Steelers depth and a potential third-down option. The Steelers also currently have veteran running back/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson under contract. -- ESPN Reporter, Brooke Pryor

Thought the tweet earlier in this thread said his '26 salary doesnt garauntee until 2nd league day, but looking at spotrac it seems its just a small portion of the '26 salary that isnt garaunteed off the rip.

I’d take Gainwell & Warren over Harris all day.
Both of those guys are capable contributors if you limit their carries. A 50/50 split will probably work out well with that tandem.

I don’t get the hate for Harris. Their o-line wasn’t great and that guy shows up and competes every Sunday. He was over drafted but that’s not his fault.

This is a weak WR draft and he is likely a top 5 WR in this group. I doubt he makes it to 72 so if they seriously want him they will have to make moves to get him

I suppose you think Aaron Banks and Dave Moore are special players too? Kind of a moron to even show back up not understanding basic supply and demand.

I didn’t say they won’t be able to get players. I said people will be overspending on average players cause there’s a disproportionate amount of impact players and available cash to spend… and that’s what happened.

You’re already wrong many times over. Several sources have echoed that the free agent class was weak. The fact that both the names you mentioned, the teams had the money to pay them but let them walk speaks volumes. Teams with cash don't let impact players go away for nothing.

Also, I didn't say I want to tag Tev. I said I could see where we might to bridge the gap... and I said if he's cheaper than that, even better. I have no inside knowledge on what he's asking or what the league is willing to spend. Realistically, people in here will be bitching about one of the guys we spent on anyway and be asking for him to be cut in a year or two.
Sir you were using money as a factor on whether Fries was impact or not. That was your argument not mine. Fries got 88m. Bynum got 60m. The end.
