My doc told me to see specialist then go back to him to get cleared for work.

I can't get in to see specialist for 10 more days!

I really have to get back to work but I am hurt. The only way I could get cleared for work is to lie to doc about pain but my boss would know I was lying my ass off. I went to his place over the weekend and first thing he said is, "You look like you're fucking hurting."

I have some Vicodin left from MRI. Finally broke down and took one yesterday morning, took half of one last night and this morning.

It helps take the edge off somewhat but they won't last.

Maybe I will take a whole one this evening and do some of my stretches.

Hopefully that will loosen me up some.

Neck update:

Next stop - pain clinic. Getting injections in my neck.

Looks like surgery if that doesn't work.

I really really want to avoid that.

Pain has been moderate, I have been staying away from the opiates.

Getting comfortable for sleep is a ***** though.



I am pretty pissed though. Had to wait until 12:30 for my 9:30 appointment. Tried to find a different doc in that time but my phone service was too iffy.

3 hours of waiting to talk to doc less than 5 minutes.

Yeah, it is driving me batty. Too bad I can't kill time hallucinating or playing with a roly-poly mama bear.

Mama bear is not being very receptive but perhaps I can sweeten her up with some honey on my next hospital visit.

Yes. Same mama bear. I might take her lunch at hospital if I will be there near lunch.

I hope they do these injections soon.

Booklet I have says I need a ride. That indicates good drugs and/or bad pain.

Perhaps I can coincide time I get done and get ride home from mama bear.

(I can walk to hospital, not a short walk but maybe half hour at most, I walk fine, arm just doesn't work right)

I just can't afford to wait much longer. Must get back to work to impress coworkers.

Mr. Nominal happens to be my nickname.

I brought it to this job and they said it should stick.

I don't remember who exactly I got it from but someone at an old job said it when I was arguing with quality guy. I couldn't just let it lay there dead on the floor. I said "Thank you, sir. That is my new official nickname."

(I actually only recently put it back into use once my skill built back up)

Doc didn't give me anything.

Pain hasn't been too bad though. I took a few vicodin, 2 a day at most, for a few days, but pain hasn't been bad enough for a week. So just advil.
