At some point, someone has to take the blame. The team has had a high amount of injuries all 3 seasons under Fox and they have not let anyone go. Someone has to get the axe for the injuries, even if it is just bad luck. A change needs to be made somewhere in the training department.

Right we should make a change just cause. This sounds like when cave men used to sacrifice babies because of a drought.

"Well we don't know why the fuck it ain't raining so let's just kill a few babies and maybe the rain god will be appeased."

Football is a violent game. People get injured all across the league. If there is actual evidence that part of it is a bad training regiment then fire away. However, I certainly wouldn't fire someone just to fire someone. That's Special person. Not everything has a human cause. Like do you think the football gods will be like, "Well Fox fired someone so now we can stop injuring Bears players."

Brutal loss. Freeman was/is one of the most important guys on the D. Probably 2nd most important after Hicks.

Soft training camps, no real work in the preseason games for top stars, and PEDs.

PEDs get rid of inflammation, and aid in both recovery and flexibility.

For example, if Ken Griffey Jr roided, he would have not been as oft injured, and would have held all the HR records instead of Bonds-being the more naturally gifted hitter and all.

Bears need to get a muscle marbling specialist in. I know a guy, but he wouldn't pass the random drug tests.

In fact, athletes on steroids are more injury prone as body structures aren't strong enough to anchor overdeveloped muscles.

Steroids don't themselves make you stronger. They allow you to recover faster, as they rid you of inflammation, and speed up the healing process.

This is one of the few positions where the Bears can survive an injury.

I thought Kwiatowski and Jones were good in the pre season. My guess is Kwiatowski is going to take his job permanently.

Take who's job permanently?? J.Freeman's? I doubt that cause Freeman can actually cover as well as be a beast at tackling and Kwiat is not good at covering but i love his tackling. J.Freeman is one of the top ILB's in the league IMO so i hope we keep him for his entire contract as a starter as long as he's healthy.

Well there goes the change that he will be back. He is done for the year.

If it is indeed a pectoral "tear" for #Bears LB Jerrell Freeman, recovery could take up to 4-6 months, according to Dr. David Geier.

Well this kinda changes things if true. Damn it man

Really debatable how much faster they help you heal. More often that's just the excuse given by athletes who get caught using cause it sounds better than saying they were trying to get bigger and stronger to gain an advantage. There is no doubt PEDs can make an athlete more injury prone, especially muscle and tendon injuries. With a quicker and greater increase in strength, tendons and ligaments which don't increase in size to handle the new strength, are obviously more prone to injury.

They should have sat him on the sidelines and not played him.....he would have been safe then.

I don't want to downplay this, I am ultra depressed to hear it, but is this Fox's fault too?

Gotta be either Fox or Pace's fault. That is how this sort of thing works right?

My guess is Kwiatowski is going to take his job permanently.

Why would you think this? Freeman is one of the best defensive players on the team.... in the league in fact. So unless Kwiatowski has an all pro season... Freeman will have his spot back when he's healthy again.... even if it isn't till next season.

"looking like a lost season." Already? Lol.

It did a week ago. :)

Just kidding.

It looks like a non-playoff season, certainly. But it is a season to watch some young players grow. I look forward to every game, in spite of the troubles and the tough schedule. There are lots of guys whose arrows are pointing up.

might've played his last game as a bear. shame cuz he was really solid.

kwiatkoski is the future at that position, and he's shown some flashes....and most importantly, the availability.

I see Kwiatkowski as a backup. I hope I am wrong. But if he is our future at the position, I would be concerned. Backup/depth, yeah. Again, I confess I have not seen as much of him as most of you.
