Freezing super sweet corn for the winter or anything else?

I know those Food Savers are used a lot in Sous Vide cooking, can I assume this means that you re-heat (in boiling water) something that you had frozen previously ie. vacuum sealed spaghetti and meatballs?

Back to corn.... easiest “freezer corn” recipe is cut corn off cob, scrape the cob with the back of your knife to get all/most of the liquid in with the corn. Cook in butter (1/2 tablespoon + per ear of corn) over medium heat until it just begins to soften. You don’t want to cook completely. Salt & pepper to taste. Let cool, put in air tight container (we use a vacuum sealer) and freeze. To re-heat, thaw in refrigerator and reheat in a pan over medium until the corn is to your desired tenderness. Add butter when re-heating if you like but it probably isn’t necessary.

This retains the flavor and freshness which is pretty nice in the middle of winter.

Yup. Boiling water or microwaves are fine with vacuum seal bags. Standard zip lock bags can't be heated up because the plastic basically poisons the food.
