I'm going to make this a lifestyle choice as *** as that might sound, but I will break the "fast" every week starting next month. I can't limit my culinary exploits and will fulfill my desires for fried fish, chicken, pizza, and burgers with buns once a week. But this diet is fantastic and makes sense to me. Fat is GREAT and this food pyramid is fucking Special person.

How was that book? A friend recommended it but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Good job so far and good luck in the future. And, yes the food pyramid is fucking Special person. Except sugars, all of the ingredients should be flipped upside down

Another good cooking oil is grapeseed oil. That shit is, uh, the shit

This is some crazy shit right here if you are trying to lose weight:

- Eat slightly below maintenance in terms of kcals
- Exercise. Preferably a blend of cardio and strength training
- Avoid shitty, processed food (e.g. try and keep the kcals clean for the most part)
- Give yourself a psychological break with a cheat meal once a week or so, but don't be an asshole about it
- Watch your macros. This can vary by individual so adjust to optimize for you personally. For me it's probably about 35 / 45 / 20 (c / p / f) if I'm trying to lose weight.

Craziest part? It works. Especially when used as a lifestyle change and not a crash diet.
This.

There is only one diet that works and that's the old fashioned way. Find out your maintenance, eat under maintenance, and track your macros to make sure you're getting enough protein, carbs, and healthy fats.

absolutely. i'm not doing this to lose weight though. I'm doing it for a healthy cardiovascular system and so I can ward off dementia. And I DON'T think that saturated fats are bad at all. In fact, I believe that they are essential to good health.

You can use do the above diet and accomplish your goals.......
