Yep.

Having seen Timonen and Rozsival on the ice together last night, unfortunately, I don't think Q has any option. If they are going to play, they can't be on the ice together. Like, ever.

Yeah...put Desjardins at D. Smart.

Or TVR with a broken wrist, ok.

And Q is the idiot.

Desjardins had played D in the past at times, I thought... and TVR I didn't know had a broken wrist... yeesh... sorry.... I didn't know these things....

Is there anything else in Rockford we can use that hasn't been traded yet?

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Gut feeling is Dr. Craw starts game 2, but the leash is going to be very short from hereon out.

Gut feeling is that Q rides the partial birth abortion known as Rosival, even though he shouldn't. Tere may not be any good 5/6 options on the team, but right now he's slow and he blows coverage like Parios Hilton blows cops trtying to get out of a DUI. I'm hoping that Cumiskey comes in and they plattoon Timmo/Rosie on a game/per/game basis, but really Rosival should have been put out to pasture over a year ago. He's done.

He's completely done. It isn't just that he's slow, as has been mentioned. He just can't play anymore. Constantly out of position and losing his coverage. The play on that first goal last night...was just so bad. He even cut off any chance Keith would have had at helping out by basically skating into him.

per Hawks twitter, as reported by Hockey Central, on NHLN, Crawford to start game 2.

This is what I expected. And as well as Darling played I think it's the right move. It's going to be a long trip to the cup and you are going to need your number 1 which is crawford whether people like it or not. Don't start fucking with him now he's done this before and come back very strong.

agreed, and ya don't want to start friggin with your starting goalie's mind, psyche, ego, etc., one game into the playoofs.

Darling was standing on his head last night. One of the greatest performances I've seen from a goalie. He's in the bullpen laying in wait if Crawford struggles. But man it's going to be tough to win a Stanley Cup with Roszival playing minutes. The guy is absolutely brutal.

Also I'm a little confused with Vermette being a healthy scratch. He penalty kills, wins face-offs, and plays both ways pretty well. We just gave up so much for him -- tough to imagine we can't find a spot on any line for him. He can play multiple positions so it doesn't have to be center.

Yeah, Rosi was brutal. Cuminsky has to play next game even if it's for Timmo instead of Rosi, the two of them are just... bad.

But Vermette has been none of those things this year. If you don't know why he was scratched even after it came out of Q's mouth, then I don't know how to help honestly. He'll be back soon, maybe even next game because Nordie sucked donkey too.

Crow must start...that's a given. On the rare occasions he gets yanked, he comes back angry and GOOD. It's one helluva boost to the team, however, to know that Darling can come in and dominate. That alone takes a world of pressure off their backs, allowing them to feel free to play the attack style they want, and need to go deep.

The Hawks usually have a game where they go into funk recovery after shitting the bed. The fact that they did this in game one, and not in a must win situation, bodes well.

Sometimes a goalie just matches up better. Sure this will be taken into account if Crow performs poorly next game. Time will tell.

People are also conveniently forgetting the fact that the hawks had been playing like shit and lost four in a row to finish out the season. It's not like they were the hottest team in the league and crow took a shit at center ice before every faceoff.

I thought timmo was actually okay last night for what he is now and considering his situation. If the judgement is on the first period everyone sucked balls. After that period he was okay in my opinion. He wasnt the stand out blueliner for the hawks thats for sure. In my opinion that actually goes to hammer who i thoughy had a very strong game. Him and oduya were pretty pretty preeeeeeetty good.

But everyone will hate oduya in a few games time again i am sure.

I don't disagree, but I am also factoring the liability of him being in a game that went almost 100 minutes only being able to pull 11:40 minutes of ice time. That right there is as hard on the rest of the guys as just plain sucking. **** Rosi almost got 20 minutes becuase of it, and that alone makes Timmo a bigger liability. If him being on the Ice means Rosi gets more minutes, ****... hah

For reference, Timmo's 11:40 was the lowest ice time of anyone last night. Next closest was Teuvo at 15:36 and then Bigfoot at 16:36... hell Fischer almost got as much as him in only 9 shifts in the first period and 5:32 total. I don't know how to look it up, but I think at the end of regulation Fischer and Timmo's minutes would have probably been pretty close haha.

Yah i can agree with that. Trust me my mind is roszy warped now too i am scared every time he is on the ice now lol. He did make some good plays through the night though. He made a great turn at the boards on one shift which created a really good scoring chance. No idea why that play sticks out to me but it does..probably because i have never seen roszy turn on the boards like that.

Anyways. If last nigtnwas an indication of the series it could be tight All the way through so i expect some blueliner errors that will be highlited. I dont know what webers condition is now but there were some interesting speculations last night that something may be bothering him as he wasnt taking many weberesque slap shots. And after Nordstrom ran him? Who knows. I will say this again..seth jones has upped his game and is looking like the high draft pick that he was. Seth was the best pred on the ice last night and the hawks better watch that fucking kid. This very well could be a blueliners series come the end.

I also would like to see what Rozie's ice time will look like in a 60-minute game, as opposed to one that goes into double OT.

What I'm really worried about is, and I know people will shit themselves here, but I gotta imagine Nashville has the better odds of winning tomorrow because they can't leave their building without a win and hope to take the series, so they probably win tomorrow. And if the explosion that happen hear last night after that amazing fucking game happen... I don't think I"m going to be on these boards for a few days after tomorrow night.

Shockingly, and I hate to say it came from I think Pat last night between babbling about trees... they pointed out the crunch time minutes that timmo and rosi were getting in the third last night. I was shocked to seem them on the ice at all in the last 6 or 7 minutes I think it was. I guess Q wanted the guys out there who hadn't played all game instead of the guys who had played 30 minutes already, haha.

Oh if Nashville doesn't take Game 2 I'll write this series off completely.
