Please no more Kirk in the 4th quarter
There is nothing Kirk adds by being on the floor instead of Dunleavy. And I trust Dunleavy more to make the smart play, when the ball is in his hands.

I think the Cavs need the 3 pointer to drop to win this series, but we'll see. Irving is a steaky 3 point shooter, so it's possible.

Lets all hope the Bulls offense doesn't go stale like it sometimes does.

They'll likely get a game where they do fall... but yeah seemingly they do rely on the three's entirely too much. The Bulls hit there's tonight and that won't happen every game...

Bulls shot 40/80 from the field and 10/18 from 3

Cavs shot 34/81 from the field and 7/26 from 3. That's a lot of three's. What kept the Cavs close was free throws as they have 8 more makes than the Bulls (was larger before foul fest at the end).

Something the Bulls need to look at it is getting the foul line more, I know refs favor the home team usually more, but in games where the shots aren't falling, the Bulls need to force the issue.

BTW Noah continues to look not so good, you can tell he knows what to do, but his body just won't let him.

BTW Noah looked like shit again, you can tell he knows what to do, but his body just won't let him.
I hope he responds next time. He actually looked like he found his layup again in Game 5 last series (the rest of the team played like shit though).. Now its back to the usual here in Game 1. Noah has to make the gimmes. No question about it.

And free throws.. Man.. He really needs to make a damn free throw.

Rose has to figure out how to break this streak of him playing poorly after 1 day rest. Gotta figure that out this series. He doesn't have to have a game like tonight every night but he just needs to be more effective on than he has been.

I cringe every single time Hinrich is on the floor. Don't know what he brings to this team anymore. Even defensively he doesn't look as solid as he used to.

Bulls did a nice job not allowing a lot of offensive rebounds and the TO's weren't a problem. I think going up against a team like Milwaukee early was good for the Bulls in that aspect because they were very good at getting both and the Bulls really had to try hard to not let that happen. Now going up against a much softer team defensively, passing lanes look so much bigger and their is a lot more space on the floor.

Speaking of Jimmy, he is one of the top 10 guards in playoffs in points, rebounds, percentage, blocks, and steals (lead the league). They better get the max contract ready, NOW!

I'd rather see Doug McDermott in crunch time than Kirk. Kirk is literally useless on offense, I don't care if he got an And 1 and a three in this game.
I was so sure they had called a charge on that and 1 play. Kirk never ever ever draws fouls, let alone and 1s. But seriously...at least use Snell to guard Kyrie. He has so much length to use to his advantage and he has a pretty good game against Lebron under his belt. He gives us at minimum as much as Hinrich does offensively when Hinrich is playing SG. Idk why Thibs doesn't see it.

id be fine with snell getting a shot at kyrie at some point, but I wouldn't expect much if I was you...kyrie will twist snell up in knots and go right around him IMO

That was a great game and win. The Bulls got off to a really strong start and never trailed. A little bit surprised Niko and Tony didn't get much PT, hopefully that changes in the next game and the rest of the series. Rose, Butler, Gasol and Dunleavy were all excellent.

Gotta hope the Bulls start off strong and play the same way in Game 2, because you guys all know what happened after the Bulls took a 1-0 lead against LeBron's team back in 2013. :nervous:

Niko and Snell will have to play as the series wears on. Especially when JRS comes back.

I think that the Bucks as a team, have the ability to put much more pressure defensively on Rose than the Cavs can. Rose had a good game, but not a great game. Jimmy picked his shots, and well, was Jimmy...but he can dominate a game much more than he did tonight as well. We did not see the best ball out of the Bulls tonight. They got the 3 ball going, and fed Gasol well-but they did not attack the rim as much as they have the ability to. If they keep giving the Cavs helpings of Gasol at the elbow, Mosgov will have to start cheating out-and Pau is a deadly passer to a cutting wing. It will mean easy baskets at the rim for Butler, Rose, and Dunleavy. I think that the mismatch Pau creates from the elbow down, is the key offensively for the Bulls. It is a well they can regularly go to for easy scores.

Bulls played good and looked like the better team tonight...however im positive Cavs will step up next game because just like every other time we play LeBron...game 1 is always a "feel out" game

Now that it seems the Bulls have the Cavs under their control, do we think the Bulls will be able to beat the Wizards in the Conf Finals?

lol its far from under control

but honestly that would be demoralizing to finally beat LeBron and get knocked by the fucking Wizards

I think I would almost have to just laugh if that happened.. I mean there is 0 chance of beating the Warriors so its not as if they would win it all even if they got by the Wizards
