so just ignore the fact that kirk played well entirely?
His 6 points in one minute. Nice job. He did nothing the rest of the game.

He is not a threat anymore and should not be out there on offense in crunch time.

Or stop bal, smart fouls....you can trust Hinrich to keep the game in front of him and utilize the other players.

I have no idea why his shot deteriated from Kansas to the present time, or early in his career. Meanwhile, I saw Drew Mother Fucking Gooden the third dropping 3 threes the other day, how is he in the league? He improved his range and improved it, and improved it. Kirk the Kansas Kid getting outshot by Drew Gooden? WTf man get in the gym?

Found out how well small ball worked…

Cavs last night... LeBron at 4: -21 in 29 min. *LeBron at 2 or 3: +15 in 16 min. No LeBron: -1 in 3 min. * Includes minutes w/ Marion

Those LeBron-at-4 lineups gave up 71 points in 29 minutes (118 per 48, 130 per 100 possessions).

Pretty much as I thought, small ball destroyed them (Hey NBA history is playing into it). I would not be surprised if Cleveland starts Thompson next game. They also may just not start Mike Miller and find some other old ancient player who also can’t play. Miller got destroyed by Dunleavy after all. They may also have Miller guard Noah instead... realizing Noah can't do shit on offense... Though maybe Noah responds to his poor offensive play.

Just remember to not get too excited given history against LeBron.

Well yeah. I mean now they need to take the next step and win game 2.

Bulls win Game 1 over Lebron. I've seen this movie before.

Also probably didn't help that Jones and Miller didn't really hit any 3s. Much like I don't expect Shumpert to shoot near that well, I don't expect those two to miss everything. That said, they played much better with Thompson and Mozgov hitting the glass, as one would expect. Bulls gotta make sure they get a body on Thompson and keep him off the glass.

James Jones is 2/13 in these playoffs. He's cold as hell.

Mike Miller likely had a lot of rust. He only took 2 attempts though. Shump was awful heading into this series but really stepped up.. The laws of averages likely play out and Shump comes down to earth and Mike Miller/James Jones maybe a hit a few more. You have to remember though the Bulls do have good perimeter D.

Would it surprise me if Cleveland has one of those ridiculous three point games in this series? Absolutely not. But overall they have not been good without Love/Irving. And Irving wasn't on from 3 yesterday.

The Cavs will beat us on ridiculous 3pt shooting at some point in this series. JR Smith will ensure that.

I was so sure they had called a charge on that and 1 play. Kirk never ever ever draws fouls, let alone and 1s. But seriously...at least use Snell to guard Kyrie. He has so much length to use to his advantage and he has a pretty good game against Lebron under his belt. He gives us at minimum as much as Hinrich does offensively when Hinrich is playing SG. Idk why Thibs doesn't see it.

My opinion, he's trying to keep Snell foul free in case Butler gets into foul trouble v. Lebron. You stick Snell in the game v. Kyre, your 2 best defenders could end up sitting on the bench in foul trouble. But, who knows, that is just my take.

Also, if it were me, I would be giving Snell some time each game v. Lebron just to keep him up to speed on guarding Lebron come play off time, not regular season time. If Butler has issues with Lebron in the post, a smaller framed Snell will also, but there should be a gauge at how bad/good it would be. Tibs needs to get the kid some playing time v. Lebron.

D. Rose isn't the same D. Rose. He is settling for a lot of jumpers, particular on the switch in pick and rolls. He used to blow by centers or PF's to get to the rim. Guess he doesn't trust his legs just yet.

Well I only bring up Snell on Kyrie because Hinrich was being used to guard Kyrie while playing with Brooks/Rose. Imo Snell can give you just as much defense as Kirk on Kyrie if that's where you're going to be using him plus the added benefit that Snell is generally a better offensive player at this point. I realize Kirk had a good game for the most part shooting the ball last night, but that's not usually the case.

And aside from that, Snell didn't get off the bench last night. I get you want to have him in your back pocket in case the refs hose Jimmy out of the game, but I don't think he'd do any worse than Hinrich in terms of fouls. And Hinrich is usually a foul machine. Keep in mind, this is only for a few minutes per game.

Or maybe he's trying to protect himself from some Cleveland players taking out his legs...or maybe that's just what the defense is giving him.

Mid-range jumpers is getting back to his original game. He still can drive... And he had a vintage Rose play that was called an offense foul when he split two defenders but LeBron got in position to take the charge (though should have been a blocking foul upon review [that play was an And 1 too])

It probably would've been an And 1 if anyone besides Lebron took that hit. But I do agree that he can still drive when he wants to. The midrange game opens a lot for him. I don't mind him taking that shot all night if that's what's open.
