Difference is the Ducks are forchecking hard esp their 4th line. Those turnovers that they are creating will destroy the Hawks and the difference between teams in the past trying to grind the Hawks down and not having success? Those Hawks teams had a legit 3rd blueline pairing that can take the abuse. timo cant take shit.

Ducks getting mostly outplayed again at home. Keep counting the hits they rack up, Hawks have been playing teams like that for years in the playoffs and regular seasons without it stopping them. Funny how short some people's memories are.

The Hawks haven't been the Ducks, they don't play that way, haven't for the better part of a decade, and its the most successful theyve ever been in franchise history.Don't know why people are expecting something different.

Too bad Variable didn't read this before he posted.

When the Hawks are getting beaten and not getting the puck out due to turnovers, the Ducks physical play is effective. Their gonna have to make shorter passes to beat that forecheck.

So when the kings beat us last year the way they physically dominated the hawks didnt help them? Or is that something nobody wants to acknowledge because it trumps their ideals?

Physical play does take it toll, but that's only if the Hawks don't adapt. Because of less time and space their going to need options that are closer and will have to move the puck quicker.
