Like I said before, if Jason Kidd could become proficient at the 3, so can Rose.

LeBron was 1 of 5. Rose is fine. And it looks like his scope has his elevation on his jumper better than it was earlier in the year.
Be happy hour big 3 are looking every bit as impressive thus far in the playoffs if not more so than Cleveland's. Should be a fun series to watch.
LeBron is shooting 35% on the season which is mediocre but not horrible like Roses 28%...i don't mind him taking 3's but i don't want him to get comfortable settling for 3's which we all know Derrick is prone to do
Gasol has not been impressive at all but Rose and Jimmy have looked good
I honestly don't see LeBron guarding him unless its a switch. The Bulls just pose too many mismatch options and JR Smith can't guard Butler. And Irving can't guard anybody. He definitely has not turned a corner, he's just having a hot series lol. He'll be back down around 30% for Cleveland most likely. But again, it's about pacing too. If you know you're gonna play near 40 minutes a game, you gotta have something left in the tank at the end for when Lebron is defending you. Imo he'll be more a decoy at that point and Gasol and Butler will shoulder more scoring down the stretch with Rose setting them up, but if he's dead from driving relentlessly into Cavs players for 38 minutes it does more harm than good. So I do agree that him driving will be key, but he does need to sprinkle jumpers and 3s in there to keep Kyrie honest. If they can't sag off him, it makes his life easier in the drive game.
It is not even close, how fluidly the Bucks move defensively, both on their rotations...and on cutting off passing lanes, and the defense (or lack thereof) of Cleveland.LeBron is shooting 35% on the season which is mediocre but not horrible like Roses 28%...i don't mind him taking 3's but i don't want him to get comfortable settling for 3's which we all know Derrick is prone to do

While the Bucks are excellent at defense, the Cavs are excellent at offense. So I'd have to say its too hard to say how the Cavs might play this Bucks team.It is not even close, how fluidly the Bucks move defensively, both on their rotations...and on cutting off passing lanes, and the defense (or lack thereof) of Cleveland.
The Bulls are getting much more, in terms of getting pressed by a team, that is at least remarkable at something, then the Cabs are getting, in the way of competition, from an all around unremarkable team in Boston.
The Bulls are having a team, that is at least excellent at something, unlike the Celtics, who aren't remarkable at really anything.
Also, the Bulls are averaging over 96 ppg against one of the best defensive units in the NBA. Also, Kidd has them playing a much more smothering, physical brand of 2 way ball, than the Celtics are currently playing. It is more immersive than how they looked during the regular season-esp against Gasol.
Cleveland would advance past this Bucks team, but I am not so sure that they would be 3-0 right now against this Bucks team.
Yes, but LeBron would midst likely be receiving the type of attention that Gasol has been. Leaving it to Kyrie and Kevin to make things happen. While the Bucks are excellent at defense, the Cavs are excellent at offense. So I'd have to say its too hard to say how the Cavs might play this Bucks team.
Coaching and team development.Yes, but LeBron would midst likely be receiving the type of attention that Gasol has been. Leaving it to Kyrie and Kevin to make things happen.
Say what you will, but without Rose, the Bulls were still a playoff team. As for Kyrie and Kevin, they have never even sniffed the playoffs without LeBron.
Well they have Lebron now so we'll have to deal with them regardless. They're still threats offensivelySay what you will, but without Rose, the Bulls were still a playoff team. As for Kyrie and Kevin, they have never even sniffed the playoffs without LeBron.
LeBron will get his.. its the matter of stopping everyone else.Well they have Lebron now so we'll have to deal with them regardless. They're still threats offensively
As I experienced last night playing pickup ball, it's hard to carry the scoring load for your team and also guard the other team's best player. How much more so for Jimmy when you have to guard the game's best player who is far more physically imposing than anyone else he'd have to guard.LeBron will get his.. its the matter of stopping everyone else.
I think its the matter of Snell and Butler splitting time on LeBron too.
In the two games he's played against LeBron, Butler has just looked worn out.
Seems legit![]()
BULLS PLAY BETTER D WITHOUT ROSE. BENCH HIM!
I agree, which is why I don't think Jimmy should stick like glue to LeBron the ENTIRE game. You'll want Butler on LeBron in the 4th obviously. But Butler needs to also have some O in this next series if we are going to win IMO.As I experienced last night playing pickup ball, it's hard to carry the scoring load for your team and also guard the other team's best player. On the bright side, Rose will actually be there to do most of the scoring this time so perhaps it won't be as much of an issue, especially if Snell takes that assignment for a good chunk of the game.
Might be the most active thread in years...Clone, I think we definitely need a IST for next round. So much to discuss between Chicago and Cleveland.
At least at first. If the Bulls do the old win Game 1 then lose next 4... it wont be lol.Might be the most active thread in years...
Lets hope.I've been looking forward to Cavs Bulls in the playoffs for a long time. We finally have the pieces to get it done. This could end up being the best series of the playoffs. Let's hope Derrick and Jimmy can get it done.
