Mirotic and Taj were huge off the bench. Hopefully Thibs recognizes this and uses Mirotic in a bigger role for the rest of the series. I'd love to see some Snell in there instead of Hinrich, but one step at a time I suppose.

Thibs did a great job with his adjustments tonight. Niko and Taj brought energy and made big plays. The smaller lineup in the 2nd half opened up the floor for Rose and Butler to attack. Hopefully Pau's injury isn't too serious. But... WOW! WHAT A GAME!!!

Maybe, maybe not. And it would be nice if more shots fall next game when driving. Even if he misses some, however, Rose needs to take LeBron to the basket if he can. It's a big game within a game. LeBron has had success relying so heavily on his athleticism. If you're right and Rose go by him, it chisels away at Lebrons mystique. It also has to be super frustrating for him to have to work so hard on defense guarding Rose/Butler and then go on offense and try to get by Butler. It's still LeBron and he's going to have some success but I don't really remember seeing one player make LeBron work so hard on offense. Deng was good at defense but not like what we're seeing from Butler so far. I was a little worried Butler would come back to earth against the Cavs but it's been the opposite if anything.

I went to a party right after the game. 90% of the people there don't care about basketball.. but I still made sure to tell everyone lol. Seriously made my night last night.

So reading into the stat line...
Cavs went hard into their 8 man rotation for this game with JR Smith back, which means guys like Bron, Thompson, Irving are going to wear down quicker.
Cleveland hit a staggering 14 three's in this game. That was on 34 attempts, which is a lot.. still 41% from the field. That's really fucking good for the second game in a row. Overall Cleveland only shot 39% from the field in the game.
The Bulls shooting overall was awful. 38% from the field 28% from 3pt land. What kept the Bulls in this was offensive rebounds and obviously not turning the ball over.
So perimeter defense still needs an adjustment and at some point the Bulls will have a better shooting night against this team.
And Niko should see a lot more playing time especially if Gasol is limited. If Gasol is out, obviously we'll see a ton of Niko. 12 points, 8 rebounds from him... He did have 5 fouls though and only hit 1/4 from 3... but those points will come for him. He also got to the line a lot.
Brooks is in a shooting slump. 1/7 yesterday. Though most of the team is in a slump.. but still.
This is how the Bulls have to play though. Limit the turnovers, play great D in the paint and have efforts like this from Rose. I sincerely hope they play like this again, if not better for Game 4.
