Yeah teams can overcome missing an elite two-way player

I didn't say it would be easy. But if they wanna win the Cup, they may have to do it without Hossa. They don't have a choice.

Cannot wait to hear what Q has to say about how the Hawks had a good game tonight, but just couldn't convert on their chances.

I had a feeling they weren't gonna score, but I'm betting they come out with a fucking better effort after being thoroughly out played and fucking embarrassed.
A good coached team will make the adjustments needed, and players need to step up. Toews especially...and sit Bolland down he is mentally fucked up at this point...

Injuries are part of hockey. We don't even know how many games Hossa will miss here. Using injuries as an excuse is lame. Blackhawks could have overcome it tonight but the Bruins wore them down and the Blackhawks looked like a tired team. Better bring it on Wednesday...this series is far from being over.

Nobody is using injuries as the sole excuse. I see you're using your selective reading skills again. No-one here said the series was over. I did recall a poster saying the Blackhawks would win in 5 games. Not sure how that's possible now.

You can refer to me by name. I said Hawks in 5 and it won't happen. Yey.

Now let's revisit that "Time for a change" thread ...

Well you said that saying Hossa was injured is fair if they lose the series and that teams cannot overcome losing an elite two way player, so I responded to that by saying that using injuries as an excuse is lame. You said that and I responded. In no where did it mention sole excuse until you brought it in, and in no way did I use "selective" reading skills by you making up stuff. I responded solely to what you said.

People here have said that this series is over. A quote from earlier "Bust season. They ain't winning the series. ****. " and I believe someone said that this game was a must win.

Smith had a decent night tonight. Provided some offensive threat. Looked better as the game went along. Not shocking since he had not played in forever. If Bolland is going to play like he did tonight, I would be in favor of sitting his ass in favor of Smith on Wednesday, IF Hossa is back of course.

I just about died when I just heard Milbury say that Rask was a big reason that the Hawks did not score tonight on the PP. They didn't have any shots on goal, you stupid bastard.

Given the PP situation, I would say that this is definitely a time for a change. Don't be shocked if the Hawks lose this series in five games that the front office decides to make a change. I mean, they did bring in Q early on in a season, getting rid of a legend around town in order to do so.

I guess I should run around and say that Ben Smith is gonna replace Hossa and his production on both sides of the ice and believe everything is sunshine lollipops, rainbows and everything.

I think its fair game to say the team isn't 100% is a reason for losing, but there are a multitude of reasons with or without Hossa they lost tonight. The same problems that have plagued this team all season are coming to roost again. Whether or not they respond is going to be interesting to watch.
