Having seen how both of those hits have unfolded, I don't think anyone in their right mind could make a strong argument that either one of those hits were hockey plays.

It's pretty obvious Keith wanted revenge for Daniel's cheap shot that wasn't called and targeted his head with a high elbow. Bad.

It's pretty obvious Torres wanted to knock Hossa out cold since he saw the puck whiz by and still chose to target his shoulder into his head. Bad.

While I said you "could" make an argument, your opinion is the one I agree with.

Hawks get eliminated then the guys proceed to attend the Cubs game tonight.

What a way to soak it all in!

Here we go again...

Yes, Daniel hit Keith high. But it wasn't a nasty hit by any means. Keith wasn't injured on the play. All he was was annoyed. But if Keith can't control his temper better than that, maybe he should have to stay in for recess time and have to skip his milk and cookies.

Hossa was hurt because Torres' hit was wreckless and dangerous. Sedin was hurt because Keith intended to hurt him. If Keith had hit Daniel the way Daniel hit him, or the way Brown hit Henrik, that's fair game. But that pussy Keith directly target Daniel's chin with his elbow pad instead of engaging him with a hard and proper hockey play. Keith is a fine defenseman, but I can promise you he lost a lot of respect with guys around the league with that sucker move. There is nothing more pussy than to hit a guy who doesn't see it coming.

Torres' hit was terrible and his suspension was justified, but it would be difficult in Torres' case to prove intent to injure. With Keith's case, his intent is pretty obvious. And why with this Keith's intent? Because he didn't like getting hit. Well, if he doesn't like getting hit, maybe hockey isn't the game for him. He might like ping pong. Or at least until someone hits him with the ball so he throws his paddle at them when they're not looking.

Some people tried to be funny by asking me if I was going to riot after Vancouver was eliminated. I don't live in Vancouver. I live in the Penticton, British Columbia area. The city of Penticton is Duncan Keith's hometown. Of course we are Canuck fans here, but Duncan Keith has always been a favourite here too. There was a huge turn out when he brought the Cup home a couple years ago after you guys won it. But I am thinking that Keith is not going to be getting such a warm welcome in his hometown this summer. That's the word on the street around here. Like I say, he really did lose a lot of respect with such a sucker move.

Being a follower of Vancouver, I cant argue with that assessment of Keith being a what? Did you say pussy? Yes, you did. Now there's an area that I wouldnt dare argue. You HAVE to be an expert on pussies watching the Canucks play. Girlie Boy Burrows with his hairpulling and biting, the NHL's biggest coward Bieksa who fights only guys who dont fight and lets not leave out the league's leader in tears, Mr. Luongo. That being said, since both teams are both out of the Cup run....all points are moot.

I guess we'll just have to rely on our memories of Cups won in the past to get us by....just look at old replays and banners in the UC. How many are there for ya up in Vancouver?

Yea, how dare these players have lives outside of hockey. They should be tossing bales of hay in the barn in preparation for next year.

Yeah, all points are moot. Whatever.

But I still can't stand it when people can't get their facts right. Bieksa had four fights this year: Brandon Dubinsky, Jamal Mayers, Tom Kostopolis and Nick Johnson. None of these guys are the Derek Dorsett type, but they aren't softies. And other than Johnson, they all fight more than Bieksa. I also remember fights with Troy Brouwer, Aaron Voros, Ben Eager, JF Jacques, Jordin Tootoo. All guys who fight more. So if you want to discredit Bieksa, go ahead. He makes that funny face. That was a lucky goal he scored to put us past San Jose. He grows a ridiculous playoff beard (though not as bad as Toews.) But at least come with some truth.
