They are great at treachery and suck on the battlefield. You need both to win and that is why they will lose.

The Lannisters simply started from a better position because of Cersei being married to the King and LF serving up Ned to them. If they were actually great they would already have the Iron Throne locked up. They dont because no one likes them.

Part of being deserving is not having every major house happy to see you destroyed. They had to buy mercenaries because no one really wants to fight for them. They inspire no one.

Yes. Because they actually out schemed them. LF always acts in his own best interest. The only reason LF pawned them at battle of the bastards was because he thought they were losing power. Which they obviously weren’t. And tbh I kinda feel like they do have the throne locked up. Do you really trust Jon and Dany who have a horrible track record in battles against cersei and Jamie (maybe Jamie I guess). Whether or not they had to buy their army and inspire anybody to fight for them is irrelevant. Nobody wants to fight for anybody but themselves and if you think otherwise I don’t know which show you watched. Jon Snow couldn’t even get the north to support him after the red wedding for the battle of the bastards. Even after getting the support of the north thanks to a 12 year old girl he still struggled to find soldiers from outside the north who were not directly threatened by the NK. Every house may want cersei dead but to quote cersei when you play the game of thrones you either win or you die. It doesn’t mean a damn thing that everybody wants her house dead. Everybody wanted the Targaryens destroyed for thousands of years but couldn’t because of their dragons and they have the longest dynasty in history.

This season (independently) is still better than 97.5% of all shows. Problem is that the bar was previously set ridiculously high and it’s come crashing down from Soprano’s level to Walking Dead level.

LMFAO. Do you remember when the Dothraki abandoned her and then rejoined her when she was the unburnt and had 3 dragons? Again Jon was made king in the north AFTER battle of the bastards. Before then he was “bastard” as Ramsey liked to remind him. And my point is the starks had absolutely nothing to do with LF showing up. Jon did nothing to persuade him to come. Now recalibrate, and stop comparing the D&D tits and dragons TV show and their battle tactics to the film Saving Private Ryan.

The ony TV show I can think of off the top of my head that completely nailed battle tactics was Band Of Brothers, because the battle tactics were kind of the point. Tactics in GOT have always been a minor point, that doesn't mean I liked the stupid cavalry charge in E3, but I'm able to compartmentalize, so I was able to thoroughly enjoy the E4 big after battle party celebrating Arya's great victory.

I would argue she was the mastermind behind it all from Robert’s death to keeping political power for 7 seasons. You don’t get that just by spreading your legs. If that were the case house Tyrell would not be dead and Tommen wouldn’t have killed himself. And no they didn’t outsmart them. Outsmarting them would be waiting for the reinforcements to show up before charging one of the most heavily defended castles in the 7 kingdoms that is notoriously hard to take while severely outnumbered with a rag tag army. He got fucking lucky they showed up in the exact right time and didn’t show up when they were all dead. That’s called plot armor not outsmarting them.

Another thing this show is missing now is the traveling. That used to be like 50% of it, characters taking long dangerous journeys.

Now you have situations like Bronn traveling from King's Landing to Winterfell completely off screen and in only two episodes. (didn't it take the Hound all of season 4 to do that with Arya?) The great distances between everyone is what kept the story from resolving, in a good way.

Not everyone pretty much travels at light speed. One scene Dany is in Winterfell, and the next she's right outside of King's Landing. It's so silly lol.

Cersei became Queen because she fucked Robert. No one would follow her if not for the fact she fucked Robert.

So if LF is responsible for Jon and Sansa success then he is also responsible for Cersei's as she only alive because of him.

LF is the one who outsmarted just about everyone. And it was the Starks that took him off the board due in large part to Bran and the writers since they changed him from what was in the books. If not for Bran tipping his siblings off, he would still likely be pawning the Lannisters.
