That doesn't help my case at all.

The book, perhaps. The HBO series already has the ending and apparently alternate endings. Shits sealed up and can't be used unless he dies though.

I know but I have read all the books and will be mightily pissed if the fat fuck doesnt wrap it up.

Probably should have brought this up earlier, but I hope you guys are watching the marathon right now. Currently on season 1, episode 8. I'm guessing they're doing a season every Sunday? Definitely beats going to church.

Interesting Game of thrones tidbit..

Don't know if it was covered in the Game of thrones thread. I never watched the show, but read an article today that told of an interesting football reference in the GOT books.I posted in the coments there, but I doubt the people on that site get the significance and wit of the jab Martin made.
(in the link it is #1 on the second page)

Apparently, The guy who writes them is a NY football fan, both Giants and jets.
Of course he hates the pats if that is the case.

In one of his books, published after the 2007 season, it had this line-
The galley was also where the ship's books were kept ... the fourth and final volume of The Life of the Triarch Belicho, a famous Volantene patriot whose unbroken succession of conquests and triumphs ended rather abruptly when he was eaten by giants.

Triarch Belicho= Tom Brady AND Belichick. Undefeated season ended by Giants in the Brady-belichick 4th superbowl appearance.

Undoubtedly a reference he stuck in to jab at the pats.
I googled a couple things to learn more about it, and there is also a funny coincidence that goes with it. The story was read by Tyrion lannister according to google, who I guess is the dwarf that was always underestimated that kicks ass..
That character was created long before that superbowl, but how perfect is it that "TYRION" the underachiever, reads the story that references a game where david TYREE (on) made the game swinging catch?
As a matter of fact, the first pic in the article is the Tyree(on) helmet catch.

evidently in another book, he had a bet with a cowboys fan friend-
And there's more. Martin lost a bet to Patrick St. Denis, the writer of a fantasy blog and a Dallas Cowboys fan. For years he and Martin had a long-running bet over whether the Cowboys or the Giants would do better in the standings. One year, the Cowboys finished ahead of the Giants and George had to pay up ... in the form of killing Patrick in one of his books. Martin created Ser Patrek of King's Mountain, a knight with a shield painted with a silver star. He's ripped apart by a giant named Wun-Wun, which is a homophone for One-One, the number 11, which was the number of legendary New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms.

Just found it pretty interesting. Disregard or nuke this thread if this was covered in the GOT thread.

Hi airtime,

Just a friendly heads up. There is already a GoT thread.

I have reported this thread. Not to get you in trouble, just to get one of the mods to merge it into the other one.

No need in taking up excess CCS bandwidth.

Don't worry man. Looks like the report feature is working. Hopefully that report doesn't go against your CCS record.

I found it interesting too, and thought it was cool for a stand alone thread. Grimson is really trying hard to keep the board clean and assist the mods. Maybe his constant banning has led him to revise his commitment to this community and he could be going overboard, but please don't take offense.
