Gaming Nostalgic Thread

General Chaos was fun.... but IIRC you could play a campaign but it basically never ended.... like you would take their capital and then it would just reset and play over again lol. It was like a Madden franchise, you never "beat the game"

Hell to the yeah, my best friend and I stayed up all night playing it... multiple times.

Did anyone else play Gauntlet Legends in the arcade? When my sister had her ice skating lessons I would try to play that (or NBA Jam) to pass the time. Co-op on that game could be pretty fun if everyone knew what they were doing.

I was seven when the first one came out and loved it. my older bros and their friends pumped bag fulls of quarters in that game. I remember when gauntlet legends came out, me and one of my older bros went through and beat it over a couple of weeks at some local bar. it was great being able to save data.

when we beat the game we were one of the first 500 and got codes to get tshirst but never did.

Streets of Rage was a lot of fun. I also played Final Fight and Double Dragon in the arcades. My friend and I dumped so many quarters into those games until we finished it.

yeah i had these.. double dragon II on nes was the shit back in the day.

Mine that come to mind, Little League world series, Bad Dudes, Tecmo bowl, Mega Man, and Mike Tyson Punchout! Tyson was a ***** at the end.

Just had another flashback to a couple games that my friend and I got a lot amusement out of. Backyard Sports. We played the basketball and baseball games on PC...fun times were had. Perhaps it was just the silly animations and power ups, but hey, 10 year olds are easily amused by such things.

So not to get too far off topic, but what is everyone's favorite game that they remember playing that is actually just a really really horrible game. For me Burger Time comes to mind. haha.

I think the only reason we played this game alot was because we could never beat it.

Altered Beast.... dis was da shit lol.... I think it came with the Sega my parents bought for me and my sisters.

Yeah, Altered Beast came with the Genesis. I remember being amazed at the graphics. But the game was so short, like 3 levels or something like that.

I remember there was something with getting 2 players where you had to like hit the start buttons on the 2 controllers at the same time or it would kick the game off with just 1 player and the 2nd player would have to wait to join in or something. It was always lulzy having to restart the console when you couldn't get it right.

I remember a part in that Monkey Island game where you have to get someone out of the jail and to do it you have to go get a mug of "Grog" from the bar and pour it on the jail cell to like melt the door and break the dude out..... that game was funny.

The first system I had was an SNES. I had a lot of fun on that console. Then when donkey kong came out on the 64, my parents got us the limited edition donkey kong 64 system that year for Christmas. Idk if I could pick one or the other, I had loads of fun on both that hasn't been matched. So many great games on both consoles. I remember spending hours and hours playing goldeneye.

My friend and I played Goldeneye, but for whatever reason we could never play it "properly" so we'd just play the same single player mission over and over with cheats on. I think it's because his older brother would wreck us when we tried to play multiplayer so we just got sour on it.

Mario Kart and Mario Party...excellent group games. A couple summers ago some friends and I played Mario Kart with one person facing away from the screen driving the kart and another person telling them where to go. Was hilarious.
