•Also from Gammons, he doesn't think Boston will trade a number of prospects for a starter like Matt Garza in order to solve its lack of rotation depth

Also the fact that Boston's prospects aren't that good might prevent them from trading for an actual upgrade in the rotation.
right, because garza is going to bring in ALL top prospects.
You'd at least like to get a couple mid-tier prospects for him, but after the Cubs stupidly traded the farm for Garza, I don't think they're just going to give up right away and flip Garza for mid-tier prospects. So Garza most likely sticks around.
it definitely was not the smartest trade but hopefully long term garza can be a key pitcher for this team
Garza is a good pitcher but for the package the Cubs gave up, I think they coulda got a better pitcher.

As shitty as he's pitched this year, they could've gotten Zack Greinke. But Greinke probably would've denied the trade...he chose wisely to go to Milwaukee, who have a better chance to contend.

Also, there's no way Greinke can stand his anxiety disorder with the Cubs. Too much pressure. Or maybe offer maybe one more player and try to trade for King Felix.
Greinke would've been fine. He's weird but at worst he would've just told the media to go to hell or something. Which they all should

You look at Sully and Kap, they could make anyone nuts.
