I think he would be fine play wise, but he'd probably be run right out of town at the first bad flop or few losses because of his contract. This town doesn't like anyone who doesn't out perform their contract and/or to everything in the world to appease them socially. I'm not saying that D. Rose gets a pass, but I think it helps that he's homegrown. And I love him and he hasn't done anything to not be the superstart the town deserves he still hasn't won the big one yet.... Kane has, and they still want to ride him out of town because he's not the ideal member of society.

I don't mind him, he actually seems like a pretty cool guy and for the most part he's a good goaltender. Just not with that contract.

Like I have said he is easy to bash...but I would like him on the Hawks, also if it meant beating the Nucks in the confrence finals to go on and win the Cup. Just to shove it in Nucks fans face.

Well I don't think Chicago is as harsh as Vancouver when it comes to goaltending. It's still a lot of pressure but if he could bring the Canucks to a Stanley Cup Finals with all that bullshit around him, I don't see why he couldn't do it in a city like Chicago.

At this point there's really no use in talking about a "what if" scenario that will never play out.

I do agree though, this city can be harsh on athletes. Just saying Vancouver is ten times worse so if he can handle it there, he can handle it anywhere.

I wonder how the Blackhawk faithful who have heckled Luongo over the years would take it if he somehow ended up on the Hawks. (not saying he will or should).

Never been anything but class off the ice every time we've chatted. I'd have zero problem with it.

Oh I don't think if you asked Huet, who did not play really bad that year, he'd agree with you.

And as far as Tab is concerned, I'm relaxed and yes, he's a bandwagon boy.

With that contract though? Personality aside, that is some major dough to give to a goalie until he is 43.

I didn't say I'd like the contract, I said I wouldn't mind it if he were with the Hawks after being his "key" Heckler in Chicago all these years.

Even in the Middle east they riot when the Nucks lose.

Because to me it's different, if Vancouver doesn't like you, you are still just a hockey goalie in a hockey crazy town. If Chicago doesn't like you, it's a national sports story. It may be as harsh in the city, but it's a much different level of pressure. Even when on the road it's not let up. I wonder if Lou is even hated outside of Chicago and Van much... I bet a lot of other teams would kill for him if it wasn't for the contract?

I never said we were angels

Huet didn't play well, he deserved the criticism just as Crawford deserved his last year -- only Huet was on a better team. I felt bad for Huet, he started off on the wrong foot in Chicago, let it get to his head, and just never got his confidence back. I don't think Lou would really give a shit about the hecklers. Just look at the way he's playing now with all the crap flung at him. After so many years of taking that emotional beating, I just don't think he gives a shit about what people think anymore.

Actually Huet had a pretty good record. Not sure they end up where they do without him. Instead our dumb ass fans, like they did with Campbell, boo'd his contract, as if he had anything to do with that.

AND WHO TH **** IS TAB?

Some ****** bag on Twitter. Showed up just before they won the Cup as the "know, tell all, Blackhawk fan". At least JJ, as much as a schmuck he is, was around when we sucked.

I know I personally always thought Huet caught a bad rap. I still stand by the idea that Huet would have also won the cup 2010. Niemi frankly other than the San Jose series didn't play that well in the playoffs. I know that's an unpopular position on here.

No way was all the team in front of him.

90% of the shit Huet took was directly due to his bloated contract. IE John Dumbfuck Mcdonough.

IHN didn't exist before 2007, which is around the same time Tab started blogging, so we must all be a bunch of bandwagon fans too.

Ok "founder".. What ever you say. You are the Founder, I can not disagree.

Meanwhile most of us were chatting on the O's long before 07.

Sure it was all the team. That's why he and Niemi went back and forth until the end neither taking the reigns. What do you think, we are all idiots?

Who do you think is the idiot? Everyone and their mother knew Huet sucked as a starter. Yeah, I'll welcome back that .895 save percent with open arms! How many of those games did he actually win, compared to those he just didn't lose? You'd be lucky to find a handful. Back-up material at best, contract or not. There's a reason he's not in the NHL anymore.

I was one of them. I still remember talking about how the ABC line was gonna be good someday lol. The day Sullivan was traded too, the uproar. Letting go of Kyle Calder... all of that was on the O-boards.
