Now I am not saying this is the deciding factor, but I think it is a factor.

Lebron is the GOAT because look how bad the Cavs are without him.

Not saying Lebron is GOAT, just that this bodes well for those that argue that he is.

Were you aware that Mo Williams missed significant time this season. Or were you aware that Anderson Varejao played hurt this season, and has been out since December/will miss the rest of the season. Powe has also been hurt, Gibson(their 6th man) has been hurt, Anthony Parker has been hurt/playing hurt. Jamario Moon(also had injuries) and JJ Hickson(yep, him too). That leaves a team of a old Antwan Jamison(who also had injury issues) and ... a lot of players who have a ways to go, before being reliable players.

Sure, anyone can make an argument for anything, but the news should be about this freak injury plagued season. I don't know why everyone points to LeBron so quick, as the cause to the failures here. I honestly don't believe they know what is happening past the NBA headlines when they say such things.

This! Plus Delonte West isn't there either. It's much more than Lebron

Ummmm...Mo Williams? The dog won't hunt...he ain't the difference, fully healthy that team wins about 20-25 games...that is a 40+ game difference from last year...Its all Lebron...Delonte West isn't a critical factor either, plus he missed over 20 games last season and they rolled without him. There are no headlines to read, Lebron leaves, Cavaliers suck...point blank.

As far as GOAT talk. He is not right now...he is however more talented than any player who has ever been in the league. So he has every chance to be the greatest...it is up to him and what he expects of himself.

LeBron has no chance to be the greatest. And Crystallas is absolutely accurrate in his assessment of why the Cavs are losing.

Anyone who thinks LeBron is the greatest needs to get their head checked.

Yes lebron is the greatest ever.

Jordan and his 6 rings, 5 MVP's, 6 FMVP's, 3 ASG MVP's, 2 Gold Medals, DPOY, ROY, etc. can't hold a candle to the awesomeness of the miz, I mean lebron.

players probably don't want to go to cleveland, it's too risky playing in lebron's shadow.

Lebron has no chance based on what? He is 25 years old and no 25 year old was this good...so why is it he can't actually achieve that level of success? That is ridiculous...

i think that's almost an argument against lebron being the greatest. he really only has 5-6 seasons left. At what point will the fastest sf cease being the fastest biggest sf in the league.

he's 25, but he's been in the nba for 7 years. How much more do you expect him to grow/expand his game. This is how lebron is. He's 25, but he's not going to change his game too much more. I'm not saying it's not going to happen. What i am saying is that you have to ground your expectations. Lebron is only going to get older and he's not going to add too much more to his game.

I don't see why, Jordan didn't have a championship until he was 27. And LeBron probably isn't going to take a couple of years off to play baseball.

You can't insert players into different eras. I really don't know why people debate such topics. Nobody will win the debate. I mean, it is fun to think about it, but you wont get anywhere. Everyone points at different stats, status, and rules. In the end, its an opinion, you just have to respect another individual's views.

He doesn't need to add anything to his game. All he needs is to win championships so people will acknowledge how good his game already is.

I don't see why he can't be it by the time he's done, there's no reason he can't play another 8 years at around this level, then several more years as still being a good starter. Guys are able to play for longer now, and LeBron has never suffered a major injury in 8 years so there's no reason to think he can't do it. If he does that he's going to have put up all-around numbers that are going to be very tough to argue with, he might have something like 40k points and 10k rebounds/assists by the time he retires. Unless the voters rob him he'll have 5+ MVPs and probably 10+ All-NBA first teams and 9+ All-Defense first teams and maybe even the DPOY (Howard might be an issue there) to match Jordan in terms of individual accolades.

I hope he'll have zero championships (unlikely but I can dream) but whatever, I don't think team success should matter for who is the best individual.

Player vs. player.

Jordan > James.

Clearly. Undisputedly.

Even if the Heat win the next 10 championships.

Even if LeBron is more of a freak athlete. And even that is debatable. Jordan has made moves majestic enough that LeBron couldn't even dream of doing the same.
