The poker commentary ITT is beyond hilarious.

Thanks for sending me to bed with a smile and a pre-hangover headache.

Yes, 100-200 dollar buy in live tourneys are definitely the way to go to make money in poker, lolz.....

I'm going on vacation, you putz. I don't have "Rounder" fantasies like you, playa. I mean, the last four players in a 12:00 P.M. tourney on a Wed last month each walked with over $2,300.

Get over yourself.

Listening to theOHIOSTATE! will make you stupid, that guy is an asshat that needs to be ignored. Whenever you hear "experts" that want to tell you how to make money in Vegas, run.

You're going on vacation, enjoy yourself.

Were you getting rated at the Roulette or Blackjack tables? In Vegas that takes giant piles of cash.

The whole sports book thing has gone so far South in recent years it makes me sad. Back in the day anybody could watch NFL games in the Caesars sports book with free drinks. Now you have to show a $50 ticket just to sit there, and even more $$$$ bet to get a drink. Is there some way of getting rated in the sports book?

Corporations suck.

Ive have never gambled a sportsbook in Vegas. I do Bovada. I have taken a lot of money from them. They have actually started given me professionals handicappers lines because I destroyed them on 2 parlays in the same day. As for rated at tables, the Beau Rivage in Mississippi is where I played my most live poker and probably the most gambling I have ever done and they rated me there and thats where Vegas sent me the stuff. Also, the Hardrock out there and Harrahs in New Orleans. Ive played in many WSOP events at Harrahs. Never played poker at the Hardrock. I only like to party there. Beau is my favorite place to gamble. I have always done well there from poker to tables to slots. I have played against some professionals in tourney's and cash. Harrah's also does this weird thing sometimes where it will jump people up to 7 diamond member. That has happened sometimes. I know a couple of pit bosses, but I have never asked them why they do that. Im not even sure if they would know.

Haha dont worry about him. Only a fool thinks money isnt money. I could understand a 100 dollar table game amongst friends dont your jollies off if you gamble a lot, but Ill take two grand every day. Makes a nice life for yourself. Enjoy your time. My advice, dont be scared of the money. If you are hot, push the hell out of it.

Also, if you do win big at any point. I suggest you buy you and your family track suits. My boy won 8 grand on blackjack being drunk as shit. He wound up buying 6 of us track suits and it was boss. RUN DMC style. lol

No, I play in a no-rake mixed game in a social club with 60 yr old Sicilians and call it poker when I CR someone with a King-hi on 7th in Razz and watch him muck.

There is nothing wrong with playing dailies, heck I do when in Vegas sometimes, but it's probably going to yield the lowest avg. ROI of any poker activity imaginable unless the cash game rake has gone the way of Illinois' poker rooms where they drop like 7-8 bucks in a decent pot at 1-2!!!

Furious! Spot on, where are my unemployed guys? I'll ask the wife for more allowance to hire new guys.

You do understand why everyone here thinks you're a dip shit right? You burst into the most innocuous thread and shit all over it. Do you think you're a troll? You are not, a successful troll is clever and subtle, you are loud, obvious, obnoxious, and simpleminded. Do better or continue being ridiculed.

I'm fine with 1-2 tables in Vegas.
Made money 9 out of the last 10 years. Not a fat stack, but enough to be fine.

1-2 no limit? You can make good money on those tables. You just want to sit with what the big dog at the table has up there. Lots of easy prey that are either scared to lose the money or think poker is like slots and go with anything.

1-2 NL.
I usually buddy-up with someone, and then it's us against everyone else.
I can get a decent read of a table within the first hour.

I'm no pro, but good enough to win most nights, which usually means a +200-400 evening.

Old Vegas sucks. I went down there to check it out one of the years I went. It's dumpy, and the casinos are all outdated and smelly.
The Vegas strip is beginning to suck too. I've been going for 10 years for a conference, and it's only gotten worse.
Now I know why people stay at Wynn and Rio. It's off the strip from all of the tourist clowns that go overboard on their meth filled "What happens in Vegas leads to out of state warrants."

The economic collapse made Vegas a ghost town during the week.
I can say that for the first time in a while the Strip was busy 24/7.
Is it that crazy out there? I'm heading to Vegas this summer for first time with some friends. What do you recommend? Where for sure going to the rehab pool and such; but besides that I'm over for whatever.

It's as crazy as you want it to be. I'm past the point of going out and partying, especially like a town like Vegas, where the tab can catch up with you very quickly. I know some good spots to eat, depending on your budget. We usually do one night where we go out swanky, and the rest of the time I lay low. I've stayed at Paris, Ballys, Flamingo and MGM. Paris is nice, because there's a lot of spots to eat close by, plus you're basically in the central part of the strip.

I miss some of the more dive-joints on the strip, because you could go in and have a 22 hour happy hour, and drink for next to nothing, although Aria is cool to go through. Friday and Saturday nights are very nice, because it's eye candy everywhere.

I play poker around the Paris area and keep it low-key now.
It was really odd to see Vegas during the economic crash of 2008. That city stopped and I walked the strip at 2am one night, and I bet I only saw 20 people. This year-- totally different. Casinos were packed on a Monday night.
