Let me guess, you have mistaken Novak for me, or is the unemployed thing just your standard insult for everyone.

This pretend badass can't keep his shit straight.

No, you're the unemployed one, right.

Sorry Novak, you're just dumb.

I 0did not bother to read the dribble between 51 and others. Unlike anyone on this board my job keeps me in LV 70 percent of my time. Anyone stupid enough to gamble on the strip deserves to lose. Those that choose to visit downtown have much better odds even though those odds are not as good as those visiting Henderson or Red Rock or Laughlin. If you choose to stay downtown to save money none of the clubs come close to the Plaza. They purchased the furnishings for the Fountain Bleu which went belly up on early 2000's and upgraded all of their rooms for pennies on the dollar. That said there is a reason local casino's like the Lucky Seven kitty corner to Hard Rock exsist. It is where the locals go. And for good reason

But you guy's keep on betting on the strip. It is what they are counting on

Not 'others' just one guy. Your buddy theOHIOSTATE! hi-jacked DeepChicago's vacation thread and started throwing insults.

I agree with you on good places to gamble, you would have known that if you had read the thread, you would also have known which poster crapped all over the place.

Why bother reading a thread when you can just drop buy and throw insults around. I really hope you and theOHIOSTATE! will let DeepChicago's vacation thread move forward, insult free.

Job or nah?

Are you going to man up and join the working world or not?

Just answer, so I can be clear about the facts when addressing you like you seem to be insisting on.

I guess not.

Dude, you can get like 11 or 12 bucks an hour at Target and just work on your CV from there.

Suck it up, we've all worked some shitty jerbs; it's part of adulting.....stop putting it off, the toilet isn't going to scrub itself.

Took a trip down freemont last night- Golden nugget is a pretty nice place. They have kept it up nicely, and it is not near as claustrophobic and dingy as I remember. The facility itself is good.
....but I could not get off of Freemont fast enough.
It is white-trash hell... tubby ladies who look like they drink beer for a living, and people visibly wrecked out of their minds.
The entire area has the vibe and patrons of New Orleans... good if you are in to partying, but not my speed.

Chatting with a few people, evidently Freemont st. is big with the locals- it gives them a place to mingle with out of towners at a fraction of the cost of the strip itself.

Looking to party? Freemont street is the place. Looking for a place where you dont have to worry about your kids getting vomited on by drunks, hit the strip.

Downtown is a great place to gamble, drink, people watch, and listen to live music. It is a terrible place for kids. I probably should have mentioned that a few pages ago.

Most locals like the neighborhood places much more than downtown. Station casinos, Sam's, and South Point. I have friends that live up North and they go to Aliante it's a 5 min drive from their house. There are more upscale local places like Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch. If you're a tourist neighborhood casinos are not an option unless you rent a car. I have never rented a car in Vegas, I know people that have and I think it's stupid.

Locals think that downtown is a good place to get into trouble, they only go there when they have out of town friends visiting.

Plaza Casino purchased the furniture and furnishings for the Fountain Bleu at 5 cents on the dollar and refurbished all of their rooms. They have the best rooms hands down of all the casinos located downtown. And their rooms are like 39 bucks a night. Odds downtown are much better than the strip as well as the night time entertainment. They still are not better odds than the local's casinos so if you are looking to win money downtown is better than the strip but still not the best.

If you like Saxophone there is one of the best Sax players I have ever heard on Fremont street

As someone who has spent over 200 days a year in Vegas for the past 10 years this is a truly an inaccurate statement.

******** Caution: Buddy Story ***********

I know Vegas locals, they never go downtown or to the strip unless they have out of town friends visiting. Things I have learned from them:

1. Move to Vegas, long lost friends and family come crawling out of the woodwork.
2. When you live there you go to Mount Charleston because it's very cool. Your guests want no part of nature.
3. Your guests have no interest in neighborhood casinos, strip yes, downtown maybe, Aliante no.
4. "So, you live in Vegas, invite family and friends, yet you don't drive a limo?"
5. Don't tell anyone you live in Vegas.
