We have horrible fans. HORRIBLE fans. Chicago sports fan's are low class. Cubs fans have proven this. Today Bulls fans solidified it.

To be honest, I am amazed any of the fans actually remembered that BG played on this team. The one they should be booing, Wallace, they could care less about.

for some reason, i actually thought that a decent contingent of bulls fans would applaud gordon for all of his contributions to this team over the years, but i assumed wrong. ridiculous response by these fans.

also did anyone else hear funk say "and his shooting percentage continues to plummet" after ben missed his very first shot?
man, **** funk. seriously.

I expected nothing less from the "Greatest Fans on the Planet". Fans that have no concept of the game they are watching or the players on the court, who show up to the games decked out in their sunday best, hoping to get a shot of being on TV, & only cheering or making noise when a scoreboard prompts them to do so.

It's things like this that keep me from attending more Bulls, Bears, & Cubs games. The level of idiocy among the majority of Chicago sports fans is almost too much to take sometimes.

And to Neil Funk, go FUNK yourself dillhole!!

You can't compare the Horace Grant situation and the en Gordon situation. Totally different. While I agree that management should of paid Grant (and before 1994) Grant was an ass, lobbying to play for Orlando while the Bulls are making a push for the playoffs.

But those are the fans that listen to drones like Funk, Steven Gortches and all the others.

Is it impossible to believe that the fans might boo Gordon because he left and went to another team? They appreciate his time here...but he is the enemy now...they just letting him know that. I saw some fans boo great players when they returned here...booing Gordon couldn't possibly be unexpected...

+1 means I agree and kudos to that post. I only did that because I was going to type a similar reply.

Ben wanted to be here. Management (and apparently some fans) didn't want him to be here. Why shouldn't he get at least an initial applause for his many contributions to our team over a half decade. It's not like he turned his back on the Bulls. The Bulls turned there back on him!

Speaking of Neil Funk, did I just hear him say Taj Gibson was "cold-blooded" from wherever he took that jumper from, 12 feet??

I don't think we can say Taj Gibson is cold-blooded when it comes to his jumpshot. ha ha

I was just surfing the Trib's website & I came across the Vote for or against BG.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/chi-091201-bears-poll,0,7297827,post.poll

Yes, he could take that big shot & was instant offense.
No, his lack of defense & contract demands were too much.

Of 765 responses, yours trully included, the vote is 53% No & 47% Yes. It's closer than I thought it would be but I find the reasons for the "No" vote absolutely hysterical. His contract demands? WTF!? Who wrote this thing? Gorches?

Niel Funk just said "It would be great if Kirk was playing, so Ben and Kirk could go at it. How great of a matchup would that be, Ben gordon and Kirk Hinrich". I am not making this up...did anyone else hear this?

We're playing good but this can't possibly be considered a true match up till the full compliment of players are all actually playing.

Booing Gordon was expected...those dopes.

GOD! FUNK just said this when Ben missed a shot. "Ben bricks it and his shooting % continues to drop a bit."

I doubt that Funk even knows what true shooting percentage is or even understands scoring efficiency, but even still, that idiot has to realize that our team's two shooting guards are shooting like 37%.

I heard it.

I think it's Funk's wet dream to see the gritty Hinrich play his shutdown D on the one-on-one Ben Gordon. ha ha

That would be such an epic battle. I am sure Ben would relish the moment.

More from Funk "Ben Gordon- a silly foul on the perimeter."

Right, because Ben Gordon is the only guy in the history of basketball to foul someone after going for a pump fake.

Neil Funk is such a douchebag. He's just a clown.

More gems from the mouth of Funk.

"Some say the Bulls lost 5 in a row, well the Nets lost 18."

I guess we measure ourselves to the New Jersey Nets now?

Losing 5 in a row is still bad no matter what another team does Neil, you douchenozzle.
