Yup I had the same thought.... some of those looked delicious but I think if you get past like 1 topping with the cheese it aint grilled cheese anymore.

fried taters onna grilled cheese actually sounds pretty awesome. but would it still be classified a grilled cheese sammich if it had fried taters on it too?

I think once you start adding shit like bacon or potatoes you cant classify the sammich as grilled cheese at that point because adding anything but cheese just makes it a hot sammich not a grilled cheese

I'd have to say once the volume of other ingredients surpasses the volume of cheese involved. That's about as nearly as I can figure a reasonable answer to that. :shrug:

The secret to a good grilled cheese is to cook it slow. Don't get that pan too hot goddammit. Give that cheese time to melt all the way through.

Dis was problem on my last grilled cheese..... I wasn't paying close enough attention to how how I had gotten the pan because I was also frying up bacon.... but lets all be honest if its between the bacon and the grilled cheese you will sacrifice for da bacon.
