And give the Saints the number 2 pick? That’s what he’ll costWhat if he was brought here just to be a sacrificial stopgap to get to Payton

And since when do NFL teams sit their QB like this is the NBA?
Yep. The teams that want him (Carolina, Arizona) would have to send over their very valuable 1st rounderPayton is still under contract until 2024 people.
Would have to compensate Saints
Because Denver’s owner has a sac.Denver was the laughingstock of the NFL week in and week out… they fired Hackett after a 4-11 start. Why is Flus still the head coach of the Bears?
NBA teams never rest their QB because the position doesn't exist in the NBA.
hopefully 8th grade English will improve your reading comprehension skills.
This. All these things snowball too. A rookie WR from last year to be in his second year next year instead of going into this next year with a rookie. The question for 2022 for the organization should have been, how can we support Fields to the maximum so we can evaluate him and determine if he is a franchise QB? The Bears have largely failed to support Fields this year which makes it impossible to determine if he is a franchise QB or not. Clarity on that question allows your organization to move forward with confidence in 2023. The Bears failed Fields by...
How the hell can you evaluate if Fields is the guy or not with those choices and decisions?! Come on man, what are you doing? Oh wait, it's the Bears where decisions made by the front office and coaching staff make no sense, ever. So now we head into 2023 with a giant question mark on whether or not Fields is a franchise QB. This, in turn, makes what you'll do with the No. 2 pick in the draft infinitely more complex. Do you draft a new QB at No. 2? Do you trade out of the No. 2 spot for more draft capital to build around Fields?
- hiring a defensive side of the ball head coach in a league that is built for offense.
- spending their first two draft picks on defense. Currently, the defense is the worst in the league.
- giving Fields maybe the worst WR group in the league
- giving Fields one of the worst offensive lines in the league
I still believe in Fields. I'm not a supporter of Flus and have lost some faith in Poles. In no way should Fields play in the last game. He shouldn't have been on the field at Detroit where the only thing that was accomplished was having your most valuable asset take a beating.
Poles needs to have an A+ offseason. Flus needs to be at least .500 next year. If those things don't happen, you have the wrong guys running the show. Again.
They’ll have 5 or 6.Nope Flus is doing exactly what the Bears need him to do. Play young guys and lose. If this team has 3 wins next year then we can talk about firing him.
The sad thing is, the Bears were trying as well, specially him.Denver was trying to win.
This is a bit disingenuousThe sad thing is, the Bears were trying as well, specially him.
I would fire him, but not because of the record. He has showed nothing, no system, he hasn’t developed the QB, he Just let’s Fields do his thing and run all over the field. He should be improving Fields as a passer, rather than run him all the time.Denver was the laughingstock of the NFL week in and week out… they fired Hackett after a 4-11 start.
