Great job on the fundraising!

There may be another surprise or two yet. Between ticket sales, auction and money raised already this event will certainly be worthy of the time and effort put into it.

Besides the dollar value and the money raised to help fight pancreatic cancer, we should never forget the personal side of why this is being held in the first place. To you Tom Jacobson and Becky Klem. Those that have a personal attachment to this event I think they will be impressed as well.

You can pay at the door.

Last night, we raised another $400 by participating in Kansas City's Turkey Bowl gtournament- thanks to KC area players for their donations!

Teddy Bear Toss Night :: For those attending HASB I hope you consider contributing to this great event. It is an annual tradition in Rockford with all of the stuffed animals going to needy children locally.

Date: Saturday December 03, 2011

Time: 7:05 PM

It’s Teddy Bear Toss night as the IceHogs take on the Abbotsford Heat. Bring a stuffed animal to the game and throw it out on the ice after the IceHogs score their first goal. All the Teddy Bears will be collected and donated to local hospitals.

In addition, there is also a winter hat giveaway. The first 2,500 IceHogs fans through the doors will receive a winter hat, courtesy of Ferrellgas.

Important!

After the game we will have a private reception/ bar area set up between the games from 3:30 to 5:45 inside the BMO Harris Bank Centre. This area will have a cash bar and a meal will be provided for those playing hockey. We currently have food reserved (hot dogs, burgers, chips, potato salad, etc) for 50 people. The cost is $10 per person and we are asking that those that are playing and eating to make a donation to assist with the cost but it is not mandated from the players.

For those that would like to have family members/ friends to eat as well we MUST have the number of total meals by Tuesday. Please let us know if you are interested in doing so. The cost will be $10 per person as well and we ask that you pay for that. Please let us know the number of people you are reserving for and to make it easier for everyone that day you can just make a donation on Bob's page. Plus it becomes a tax deduction for you as well! Donations here http://www.firstgivi...rockfordicehogs

We welcome all of you attending the game to join us even if you are not eating. The cash bar will be open and there is plenty of space for everyone. It will be great to congregate with all of our friends for this great event between the games.

Who are those two assholes with the Hogs best defenseman who somehow was a healthy scratch last night?

Not even close to the best defenseman. Probably why he's been a healthy scratch two games in a row.

You should tell him that, Ron. He told us " I don't know why I'm not playing"

Nice outline by Bob worth sharing here;

First off, THANK YOU for participating in Have A Skate With Bob and the Rockford IceHogs presented by Humana.

Tickets- Seating for our game is GA and will be lower level for the Hogs game. I will pick them up on Friday evening or Saturday morning. If you are in Chicago, I will mail them out on Sunday afternoon after I return to KC.

Tables- We will be holding an auction featuring Skate sweaters autographed by Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, an autographed IceHogs sweater, and many other one of a kind items. Bring your wallets! We will also have tables for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and Chemo Cargo

Check in - Right now, I am planning at being at the arena at 11:00 on game day. Please allow enough time to sign our waiver and get your sweater. I will provide access information early next week.

Schedule-

2:00 10 minute warmup

2:15 Player introductions and national anthems

2:30 GAME ON. We will be playing 3 18 minute stop time periods

4:00 Reception on 3rd level of BMO Harris Bank Center. CASH BAR that all are invited to. Skate has reserved 50 meals for the players-no obligation donations will be requested. If you have friends and family that would like to participate in the burger/hot dog buffet, please let me know so that I can inform the caterer by Monday. The ceremonial shearing of the Kleminator will take place during this party

7:05 Enjoy the Hogs defeat the Heat!

Tshirts - We are having 100 tshirts made up. Sponsors and behind the scenes workers will receive one, but there will be a good quantity available for purchase at the auction booth.
