I already did. I told everyone that they would only get to see the pictures and such if they donated.

However, there wasn't much diversity. While I am sure the Toews and Kane HASB sweaters were a big draw, I think there should have been some more IceHogs stuff. Maybe a signed HASB sweater? If we could get a hold of IceHogs paraphernalia, I believe we may get more monies in.

Also, what about other things there for bid other then hockey stuff? Just spitballing here, but how about something like a spa day, perhaps a local eatery may donate a pizza party or something, or a weekend getaway to Chicago, something that the non hardcore hockey fan might like?

Just my 2 cents.

Come on Jacko...admit it: You wanted a Ruutu sweater there!

I have been wanting to get in here and thank you for the awesome job on this, Bob...but I have had some trouble logging onto the site lately. Great job and raised a huge check for a wonderful cause!

Well, is it ever too early to begin the discussion on this years event? I am hopeful that everyone enjoyed last years event that raised nearly $13,000 and that Rockford is still a consideration for this year.

To wet all of your whistles, I was sent this picture over the weekend of an item that is being donated to the event for the auction. Wow, what a thing of beauty. This picture was individually signed by each of them in person with the person who is donating it. He did this just for our event and had it framed as well.

I'll be there to film again if that's what you guys want. I may bring a few extra people for greater coverage.

I'm in as far as I know... Maybe I should figure out now how to buy my own equipment this year. I'd really like to play more than just this game. Want to beat what I brought in last year as well... not sure if I'll be able to... hopefully BHPs video coverage from last year will help.

Hey, if we can start talking about the skate already, why not start whining already? I think this year I'll just try to buy it or not actually play but still go.

Bob, didn't you try to tie Skate into a national recognition week with PACCan last year?

If so, what date was that so I can plug the IceHogs with some dates. Any other dates let me know as well.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, so if we can get a date in Nov, that would be cool. I like doing this one in the fall, and KC in the spring.
