So nobody has tried to get the UC for this instead of Rockford? I would think SOMEONE here has enough pull to make that happen. A whole bunch of private events are held there on off days, so why not this? Just seems like the next logical step to me....

Paid hardly anything last time I attended a private event there(I believe we just took care of the crew that worked), and that had nothing at all to do with charity.....

somebody paid. they aren't going to turn on the lights for free. all venues charge a rental. I would be interested in knowing what your private event paid all in. including underwriting.

I'm not at liberty to discuss that, to be perfectly honest. It was no "official" event. I just know it's possible, and it happens a lot more than you think, without massive amounts of money changing hands.
Also, McDouche has absolutely nothing to do with the UC, or approving/booking events there... The Blackhawks don't own it, Rocky does. The President of the Blackhawks has zero say as to what happens there when the Hawks are not playing there.

It only happens pre Hawks games and is "usually" an alumni event and or pee wee game.
Unless you are a huge organization.
As for Mcdonough you'd be quite surprised what he has control over I guess. Better not use my name or IHN for that matter.
My vote is Rockford as it was a great time and they appeared to care!
