Maybe you can enlist some of the players support personnel? You know, friends or family.

Not to sound harsh, but I'd rather have people that know the gear inside and out just in case issues arise.

Game(s) are November 10.

Our game will start between 3-3:30.

Games?

Yep. Game 1 will see Rockford players playing.

Our game, will be as last year,

And then, Hogs/Milwaukee.

Gonna be a fun day of hockey!

As people hear about Skate, there's been an incredible amount of interest in it - I don't like telling anyone that there's no spots in Skate games for them, so we will be adding another game to the festivities in addition to our game to accommodate the demand.

In KC, we're actually looking at holding a tournament this year.

Would one of the games be for the less talented? Less talented might be defined as possessing a heavy shot, defends something like a pylon and has a big heart?

I would love to get 26 players to commit to the game. This breaks down to 9 forwards/3 D per side.

I would like 1 or 3 goalies to commit as well.

Please start sending emails to bob@skatewithbob.com if you intend to play.

I am thinking of having one game for Rockford players playing other Rockford players to support a PC family in Rockford, and us playing each other to support Tom and Becky, but am open to separate games based on skill level.

Discuss that here.

I am a fan of our family playing our family.

While I didn't know Becky, knowing you and the effort you put into this, I get the impression she was a great woman. And really, any woman willing to put up with you for any amount of time is worth the recognition.

Tom, well, was Tom. In my all to short time of knowing him, he has left an indelible impression on me. I gleaned a lot of my attitude from him. Seemingly the best way for me to honor T-birdulov is to play hockey, and do it the best I can. Which is laughable, and that's the way he would have liked it. I swear I heard him laughing at me every time I hit the ice last year. Especially when I fell and bounced.

I feel the best way to to honor the both of them is by their loved ones, and extended loved ones, playing against each other in a friendly game of "hockey". Don't get me wrong, playing the other team was fun, even though we were blown out. I feel they were in the spirit of the game as we were.

I also would probably get more ice time if it was more separate and skill levels were more evenly matched.

It sounds though that more money may be raised with 2 seperate games. I am for that as well.

Its unfortunate that a great fun lady like her has to be taken away! I always looked forward to seeing her at family get-togethers a couple times a year. Lamp, I am so sorry to hear this

Has her medical team put her in touch with P.A.L.S? It is part of PanCAN and a very, very good resource. Here's their link:

I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers!
