#Blackhawks Bowman said he won't be pursuing FA who want big money with long terms, so Richards is probably not in the picture.

Bowman: "We're looking for a certain style of player and it's a good group for that. " Wants top-6 guy but not for big dollars.

Come 11 am (starts at 12 pm ET) tomorrow, i'm going to be glued.

Not entirely a surprise, and if Montador, Rupp, and Talbot are the offseason pickups I think I would be pretty happy with that. Bring back Campoli and Frolik and this is a much deeper team than last season already. Getting a veteran like Drury of Madden to fill out the fourth line and add depth at center would be nice as well.

That's expected. I don't have any problem with that. Every little piece helps fill the puzzle for the Cup.

Sounds like Frolik and Stalberg are likely to be re-signed, and I'd assume Campoli as well.

Not really surprised...Richards was always just a dream...............

If we can get a bulked up 4th line, and resign Campoli, Frolik, Stalberg Ill be happy, but dissapointed...

Bolland IS NOT a 2nd line center, and I hope he wont be there next year...I also hope Bowman isnt relying on Sharp for the #2 center, because he is much more effective on the wing...

I was very glad to read this. I'd much rather see the team add some depth than over spend for a big name just because they have some cap space.

Very good news.

Tim Sassone of the Daily Herald: Though it’s believed that Richards will sign with the Rangers or Lightning, Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman will at least look at the cost to sign Richards. One reports is saying that Richards is looking for a 5 year, $35 million deal. Richards agent, Pat Morris, went on a Buffalo radio station and said that Richards wants an opportunity to win, and would he wouldn’t be surprised if 25 teams called on Friday.

Richards still a possibility.

Blackhawks also mentioned as a team from Stamkos by Nick Kypreos.

Though I give it a 0% chance of coming into fruition.

7 mil per is too much for the Hawks...we just got out from under a 7 mil contract...

Even though Richards is worth it more than Soupy, we will need this cap to add depth and re-sign Sharp during the year

Leed and TheFouthPeriod think that Ville Leino hasn’t re-signed with the Flyers as the Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Penguins, Blackhawks, Hurricanes, Avalanche, Bruins, Rangers and Kings have interest in him.

That's all I got right now.

The cap is going up 5.8 Million though, right? But ya, not happening.

The 14 mil in cap space we supposedly have INCLUDES that increase...

So we basically have a little less than 1/4 of the maximum team salary to use then?

we have 14 mil...after we re-sign Stalberg, Frolik, Campoli, Montador, whatever we have left will go towards FA's and Sharps new contract

I'm thinking Leino or Erik Cole are rocking an Indianhead after Friday.

Erik Cole brings more grit than Leino. I like both but rather have Cole.

I'm fine with no "super stars" being added to the team. Just add depth.
