Will secondary market last row of the 300 level tickets not cost $100 after they lose? If so, I'm all for them losing one. After Friday of course.

I could also go for this...but murder those teal pussies on Friday.

Since when do you care about history that was made? fucking smartass

don't you have a snide comment to make or horrible music to listen to?

Too bad the Hawks lost to the Preds the year they won the cup thanks to this negative piece of shit.... oh wait they actually won the Cup.

LOL, did mommy take your blanky away?

The PK's not going to stay at a 95% clip...no matter who's in net. So there's no doubt they were going to give up some goals

It's the same as PP's that 1/4 through any season they're at 40%...things balance out.

It's been a great run/exciting season for sure...and no matter where they end up, this has been history. Fact is, only 1 team wins the cup each year. You need a ticket to the playoffs to be one of 16 teams to have that shot, and the Hawks are punching that ticket.

The idea "well, they only play 2 good periods" - well, I'd rather play 2 good periods in a game, and 1 bad - than be their opponents and skate 1 good and 2 bad. No team has been able to keep up with the Hawks. The only way they've been hanging with CHI is by not forechecking (see the ANA and VAN games) and hoping to trap the Hawks. Good luck with that.

As far as the playoffs...just like any...it takes health and bounces. Last 2 playoffs (even though they lost in the 1st round) - they lost key players in the series with injury. And look at Cup winners..they stay healthy. Hawks have the coaches and the players to win...I'm sure they want it as well..win or lose...it's been a fun start.

I actually agree with your statement... Pointwise, its a point better. Can't complain.

Look, the record is shared and this is the second time I've seen this happen.

Do I think this team is better than the Ducks in that sense? I've never seen the focus and poise this team has, especially with the fact there was no training camp, not to mention some people coming back without real games to play. That alone is incredible, especially for the record the Hawks have. I'd have to say the Hawks are slightly better for now, but they have impressed me a lot already the way the season's gone thus far. However, there's still loads of games left.

I'm just being cautiously optimistic due to the fact we've seen letdowns here before, so forgive me for that.

I will say this, though.... If the end result is the same as the 07' Ducks, you can bet the Hawks 13' team will be the best between the two in my opinion.
I hear you... I keep hearing people talk about how the short season has caused havoc on teams for this reason and that, but I think it doesn't it for everyone and having the solid core in place and no major movement in the offseason gave this team the leg up. Most of our guys have been playing together for years and the line juggling has made them all familiar with each other. I just think that they are all so comfortable with each other that they just picked up where they left off, and most stayed in shape in the off season. It's not so easy for other teams who are trying to find new chemistry because of a missing piece or an addition. But I think they'll catch up. At this point, I don't care if they get a point in their first 16, I just want them to win their last 16. But it doesn't hurt to have a good start.

That's an excuse, who said it had to be at 95% the whole year? The proof is in the save percentage. If Emery doesn't improve in that area and Crawford doesn't return our PK is going to be a lot worse than the 88% it's at right now.

It's not an excuse...they're not going be killing penalties at the rate they were. Crawford or Emery

The real test is (a) when we lose and (b.) how we bouce back. Neither has happened yet but I like the chemistry we have and hopefuly it should work out.

As long as our netminder(s) get hot for the playoff run and the team i prepared to take on all comers and tear through them plike a paper sack filled with red-dyed Karo™ syrup and turkey gibblets, I like our chances.

don't forget, if they go undefeated in regulation for the year, we all have to shit in each others pants.

I would have. am love it. but it's a new nhl and anything can happen. still a long way till the ultimate goal but thanks to buttman we don't have to wait too long. I will save my tears for when the raise that big beautiful cup. to me this is just a few steps above winning the president's cup. awesome to do historical. but nothing to riot about.
