I always said I would get sucked right back in after the lockout. But I never thought the Hawks would do this. Very impressive achievement. Of course my uncle said last night "I'd rather win 16 straight to end the season." I'm never that optimistic just keep it going boys!

What a great game to be at the UC. Seeing the excitement on Saad 15ft away after smoking Niemi was just awesome.

Keith on Saad: "We call him man child. He's 20 years old in a 40-year-old man's body-hairy, big, strong - a grown man already."

This may deserve its own thread.....we need graphics...artwork...somebody get busy!!

After Oduya hit the post I turned and went, "was that Oduya?" He looked like a fucking forward and just missed a highlight reel goal!!

I would have. am love it. but it's a new nhl and anything can happen. still a long way till the ultimate goal but thanks to buttman we don't have to wait too long. I will save my tears for when the raise that big beautiful cup. to me this is just a few steps above winning the president's cup. awesome to do historical. but nothing to riot about.

This record has a lot more significance to me than most realize, especially with the fact about what the last few record holders did. Thats what is getting me cautiously optimistic.

I am just grateful to have seen it set twice, because that alone is an amazing achievement. I never thought I would see it ever broken especially in today's NHL. That said, the partying is out of the system, and its all business from here on out.

I wonder what Saad's ceiling is? Kid is amazing.

Tough to say. I like to think the skies the limit with him. He's been in the right places all year, works his ass off, just hasn't been capitalizing on his opportunities like he will with a little time.

Hate to keep up with the Sharp comparisons because they are different players, but remember Sharps breakout year? He had 9 shorthanded goals I believe.....last night Saad scores the GWG shorthanded with who else skating right next to him. I suck at grabbing screenshots but Sharps saying something to him after the goal, I like to imagine very good veteran advice.

Billy Wheeler gave him a -1

Q has never lost a game when Haviland wasn't forced to be his assistant coach

The Hawks are undefeated this year when Bolland is out of the lineup.

There was a reason he was originally projected top 10. Excellent draft pick from Bowman.

When we got him I remember saying I can not wait to see him in Rockford.

The response, he does not need to be in Rockford.

Ohhhh.......
